The smell of Minksheen! I started using Minksheen (after seeing the rave reviews about it here at YT) and everytime I bath Autumn I think it has a smell to it that reminds me of something and I could not figure it out. It was driving me crazy. I kept asking my hubby to smell it but he just thought I was out of my mind. Well today while giving Autumn a bath it came to me. I think it smells like Avon Skin So Soft. Does anyone else or am I really out of my mind! (by the way when I was younger I could not use that stuff because I hated the way it smelled!):animal-pa |
Well i couldn stand the smell the first time i used it, now i like it, now i am nosey, mom is a avon lady, gonna have to smell the skin so soft ;) |

The smell is the whole reason why we do not use MinkSheen...stinks, like bug spray!! We like ESPREE Color Enhancing Shampoo and it brings out the shine and color, like MinkSheen but smells wonderful. Tammy |
I thought it smelled like some sort of pestiside wet but when it dried it smelled so very soft and reminded me of "Arimis" the mens colonge. I did'nt smell skin so soft at all. Ummmmmmm Loved the results though! |

It's weird, it's like people either love it or hate it. From reviews, I thought I would like the smell. I received the sample and gave Chewy a bath, and while I was bathing him, my husband walked up and said "What's that funky smell?" I finished his bath, and I liked the results, thought he looked really soft and shiny. Later my husband picked him up and said "I just don't know if I can handle this smell!" It did fade the next day, but because we're both not crazy about the smell, I won't purchase the full size bottle. |

It must react diff with each dog. I LOVE the smell when it's dry. I wouldn't trade the results on Bobbi's coat for anything that smelled better :p |

For me the scent was different, not unpleasant though, it did remind me of the Skin So Soft scent too. I wasn't crazy about Ruby's hair texture after using it and have other products, I much prefer as far as scent and results. It is funny though - the differing opinions on Minksheen.:) |

Just make shure you shake bottle very well, first time i used it i hardly could stand it, now i like it ! Bathtime goes soo much faster, matter of fact they got one last night ! |
I love it. At first it did smell funny to me but it works great on my Louis Bear. I found a tick on him the other day and went crazy with it on him, I used more than I should and he got a little itchy. I felt so bad :( so I rinsed him off the next day. He felt better and stopped itching. Don't make that same mistake and read the directions carefuly and your furbaby should be fine. :D Also it did cut down on the rinsing and drying process without drying out my baby's hair :woof: |

What you are smelling is the citronella in it. Jeeze I like the shampoo and how it left the dogs after their bath but god help me I hate the smell. It gave me a headache. |
Ok. I guess its time I try it. I've read sooooo many different opinions about it that I just have to try !!! Anyone know where I can request a sample???????? I don't want to buy the full product......just in case. Thanks! |

I love the way it makes Tucker and Sophie's hair so soft and shiny, and I think it has cut down some on the matting. I spray doggie perfume/cologne on them when they are dry and you can't smell it at all. I want to try it on my Mastiff, but the entire sample would not be enough for her, so I have to wait till my bottle arrives. Missy |
I LOVE the smell now. At first I wasn't sure, but now I like smelling it for days.... :) The smell stays on my hands for awhile after the bath and I like to be able to smell it on me too!:D |
