I also belong to a boxer rescue forum. What we did is one person is responisble for collecting all the home addresses for people who want to exchange xmas cards. Once the list is completed the list is emailed to those who want to participate. You have to either make a card with your dog's pictures on it, or send a card, and enclose a picture of your dog inside. I've been doing this for two years and get over 100 cards each year. I put them all in an album from one year to another and it's so much fun to look at them. One girl make a quilt out of hers. It keeps the mail lady busy, and looks great with your cards displayed for the holidays. Not to mention how nice you feel every day when you go the mail , and find lots of cards from your friends. Would anyone be interested in something like this?

It sounds like fun to me! My christmas card list is already too long, so we would have to get started pretty quick. But I love the idea of putting the pups on the christmas card! All my friends think I've gone crazy since the babies, I e-mail them photos almost daily - I have to stop that before they block me.

I think its a great idea. It would be a lot of fun. My Christmas card list isn't too long and I recieve even less than I send out so it would be great getting more mail around Christmas, not to mention it would be a lot of fun making cards and such.

Laura- I know what you mean. A dog boutique just opened up in town and I took my neice to it last weekend with me. Well she thought it was funny then went and told her mom and grandmother that we bought shirts for Reagan. Well at dinner last night they gave me such a hard time. I guess that why so many of us come on here, to feel we aren't alone in our addictions. Alcoholics go to bars we just come to YT.

What a cute idea!

I would like to participate, I love sending cards to people. But I wouldn't be able to put a picture in it... since I don't have a yorkie YET...

Could I still participate....ppp..ppp..ppllleeassee? LOL

Come to think about it, if my husband still follows through with getting me my furbaby for our 1 year wedding anniversary, then I should have him/her by Christmas!!

I like it! Count me in! If your not already doing it "suzysmitt", I'll even volunteer to put a spot online for you all to go enter your info..I'll collect it in a database (my job and one of my hobbies is websites and databasing) and fix it in a nice little emailable report for everyone. Let me know and I'll get on that this weekend. Shouldn't take me long. I was already planning to make Romeo the star of my christmas cards this year! My cousins send me nonstop pictures of their kids...I'm gonna give them a taste of their own medicine with my little furbaby!!!

My FAVORITE Christmas cards are the ones with pictures - this sounds like another fun idea!!! And, toniad, thanks for volunteering your help!
