| Hello and welcome to YorkieTalk. This is a great place to be. My cosmo's eas do not stand up and he is 13 weeks old. Some people clip the hair on the ears and it takes some weight off and they stand up.

| Welcome! Congrats on your baby! Your whole life is just gonna get better and better from all of the love that you will get from your little boy! As far as the ears...Yep.. if he is 12 weeks...you gotta get those ears shaved backs and fronts, and plucked inside. Start giving him a little cottage cheese each day for calcium. They probably won't pop right up, but after a few days they should come up. Good luck!

| Welcome.. some breeders owners tape the ears. I've always found that vitamins with calcium. I also feed them cottage cheese. they are teething and that takes calcium away from their ears.

| Peanut's ears were both up when he was about 3 months old, then they fell back down when he was about 4 months old. I found out later that to help keep their ears up you have to shave the top 1/3 of the ears, inside and out and keep them that way. The groomer actually shaved them all the way down the first time, and they popped right up! I would recommend having the tips shaved sooner rather than later just to make sure that they will stay up. Hope this helps! Congrats on your new baby!! SOOOO cute!!

| AYork- I shaved the whole ear too the first time! I was so freaked out that they were never going to come up again! I waited and waited and nothing, so I took him to the groomer finally and just told them to "'strip 'em! take it ALL off!" Voila! He looked like himself again! p.s. I am not saying anything about yorkies that keep their ears down, so no offense anyone! I think they are adorable! For me it was just my preference! If those little buggers wanted to be down, then I would've love my little Tino just as much as I do now!

| Wow you guys are awesome! I have had his ear hair trimmed twice. today he got his first hair cut and i was freaking out cause he looked funny! but they trimmed his ears so hopefully that will help. Thanks for the complement Breeze...he is snuggly when he's not being a stinker! haha And congrats on your new puppy!! Maggie and Maddie are both cute names! Your puppy was the first pictures i saw last weekend on this site. Your baby looked so tiny and her ears were ALREADY up so i was worried there was something wrong with bears ears. but everyone reasurred me that there isn't. Yorkiegirl2- your so funny! lol at least every morning you get a new suprise whether your babys ears are up or down. haha keeps ya excited! and i'll start trying to massage bears ears too! thanks!
