Well, at this point in my life, I have only girls: Chelsea Marie, Maggie Anne, Molly Kate, and (soon to be) Mackenzie Nicole. (Do you get the impression, I'm hung up on "double names"? Actually, it's all about naming them for their "god mothers"... We're Catholic, and they have to be someone's God Dog!) I formerly had male dogs...particularly my BELOVED Choochie (who was with me for 17 years). The problem was they wanted to mark about everything taller than them...and since most of the world was..... I love them all equally. I do, however, like not having to worry about the marking issue. (And, BTW, all of our male dogs were neutered VERY YOUNG, so that wasn't a solution for us!)

Well I want to add my 2 cents. I LOVE the boy personality. I think they are so much fun. As young as Mignon is she is far more independent than either of my boys. And she is a sweet, loving, fun girl too. I just think a neutered male makes a wonderful pet. I have never had a problem with either of my males marking.

I prefer female, although I have not gotten my yorkie baby yet. I will be getting her toward the end of July and I am so excited. I wanted a girl so I can dress her up in pretty pink bows and show her off.

I've had both male & female dogs before & currently have 2 male dogs and must say I prefer the male 'personality' over the female personality as well. My female dogs (never yorkies) were very independant and not as affectionate as my males have been.

| Hmmmm...Since I have female's Id say females are cool. Why? Cuz I have one. But, if I had a male Id have to say males are cool. Why? Cuz I have one....Seriously, it's a personal choice. I have always had females vs male's and tend to care more for females.
