YT 500 Club Member | Yorkies and little kids? Our little Yorkie is 5 1/2 and has not spent much time around small children. She is soooo friendly, but she does not like to be touched by a small child. She has never been abused or hurt by a child. In fact, the only time she has had a child come near her, she has snapped at them. This happens every time. It happens usually if I am holding her or if one of us is holding her, but only with a small child. Our granddaughter is nearly four, and we usually put the dog in the bedroom when she comes, but I do keep her out for a time, just to see that Ella won't hurt her. What can we do to get our furbaby to feel safe and not bite our grandbaby ? |
