From time to time on here I've seen these blue born pups on here, if that is what this is, but I have never seen any pic.'s posted of the pups after the new born photos where posted....it would be interesting to see updated photos if any of the past postings of blue borns did survive.... |
To the OP who seems to have disapperared. your vet isn't very knowlegable telling you to sell that yorkie for a high price. Truth is, he shouldn't be sold at all. AND these parents should not be allowed to make this cross again. that is a blue born puppy and will likely die before it reaches maturity. i hope it doesn't and i hope we are all wrong but i don't think so. Just keep the baby and be as good to it as you know how and try to raise it yourself. Oh and BTW, I would change vets to one that knows more about yorkies. Good luck |
All in all wether it is a blue born or not i hope your baby grows big and strong and lives to be as old as he can :D. I will be sending prayers your way for your special baby! :) |

[QUOTE=perez17z;1092301]he is not blue he is gold and silver the vet told me he was fine he was healthy so as of right now he is great...[/QUOTE Educate yourselves about blue borns for sure, I'm not ready to shout blue born just yet, but it's definitely a possibility. No one can tell, but time will certainly tell and a better vet. I think (hope)as this one grows his coloring is going to be off, granted way off. I'd keep him if there comes to be a chance. There are definitely better vets in your town than that. One with that coloring the vet should first be speaking with you about blue-born pups not raising prices. I'd be concerned for any dogs that go in there. Best of luck to you, |
I pray your little silver/blue pup will be ok. Don't take the infomation here lightly it's information you may need in the future. Obviously your vet has no experience with this kind of pup. That is what these sites are here for to learn from. Use the information given to you and do some investigating on your own. I wish you luck and hope your little pup will be ok. |
hope he will be healthy! Oh no, I hope he's not blue born! I've read in a reliable source that they die while very young! I don't know what blue born looks like or any non-standard Yorkie for that matter. I think the advice by others such as JCarlson and Sugar's mom is sound. I don't think highly of your vet! Yes, and as others have said maybe you could get advice in the Breeder's forum. Take care and I'll be praying for the sweet puppy!!! |
When i go see them again i will take pictures of his face... |

new vet looking into it... :animal-pa he was so good with my little Tiny when i first got him he had very bad skin the breeder i bought him from should not be a breeder... they were in a doggie pin and a towel on the floor that you can tell had been there forever she had bathed the one she wanted me to buy and this little tiny thing was shivering in the corner smelled bad is the the one my heart went out to i paid for him 650.00 they were already 5 months at this time. and she says she never sells them for less than 1200.00 well i gave her the money and she tells me if he dies you don't get your money back i will give you this dog and if i do not have him i will give you one from the next litter... WHAT i was shocked i told her no and took him she said her husband had stuck them in a flea dip and it burned his skin... my vet said no it was a skin infection that yorkies get skin infections a good shampoo and meds and 200. later he was fine in 2 days he was walking around playing it was amazing what a little love can do for a dog... he is my little man |
yes i know they look like rotties |

So you bought him and then you took him to the vet and that is when your vet told you that? I'm confused also... |
