I've fostered a lot of Yorkies but never adopted any. I found wonderful homes for all of them though. YOu have earned your wings my dear. Bless you! |

How is Lola doing? I think of you two often. I remember those first few weeks with Chester and how much he changed so quickly, from appearance to attitude. You will constantly be amazed by the progress she makes. You are both in my prayers. |
What a great story!! I hope you can post pics of Lola for us to see...she sounds like an amazing dog!! Dawn |
that is a great story   you are a doll for doing what you did. I am sure she loves you endlessly. congrats on you addition :) |
Your story was so beautiful. Lola is a very lucky little girl to have found you. Some things are just ment to be. Wishing the two of you wonderful happy healthy years together. I tried very hard for 9mos to resuce a yorkie but no one got back to me from the rescues I put my application in, probably because I work! A great big thanks to all of you who bring these beautiful dogs into your home and give them the loving safe home they so deserve. |
You are wonderful :) Lola is very lucky to have you! I think it was meant to be :) |
I've only ever taken in strays or adopted different breeds of dogs and cats. 5 years ago I adopted my 1st Yorky 3 yrs old, after some basic training she was great. A few months ago I adopted a 4 1/2 yr old male yorky from a local yorky rescue. Other than trying to lift his leg in the house (thank goodness for belly bands), he's been great. |
Rescue, rescue - did someone say rescue?:D As you can tell from my siggy rescue is my passion and I know that you will be rewarded twice over for helping these little ones. I have 8 yorkie rescue's, 1 wanna-be rescue and 1 Biewer. |

Awww, you two were meant for each other! :D |
Has anyone ever rescued a Yorkie I am overwhelmed with all the e-mails that I received about rescuing Lola. I am not an angel she is the angel. This is not my first Yorkie but it is my first rescue, and oh my god, what a life she has given me. I looked for a puppy for two years to bring into my family and I truly believe that god held her for me. She is two years old, platinum blonde with a white silver body and a black little jacket and weighs 5lbs 8 oz. (she was 4lbs 5 months ago). Since I looked every single day and I mean every single day for two years straight for a male or female puppy, I never thought in a million years god had her waiting for me to find. When I saw Lola you are all right it was mean't to be. Infected ears since births (she is 2 1/2 years old) infected eyes both barely open with puss coming out of both of them, her whole back end was shaved right off ready for breeding and worse of all she has allergies to everything you can imagine. She has be fixed, shots, teeth cleaned (terrible tarter on all her little teeth) Ears perfect, eyes perfect and she only eats kangaroo meat from Australia for hypo allergic dogs. Her eyes glow, her teeth are perfect and her body hair that was ravaged with bite marks from itching has all grown back. She is on meds for allergy for life and her coat after 5 months at the vet is amazing. Thank you for talking to me by Yorkie talk as soon as I get a scanner, because I never put pictures on the net before I will send you all her pics. Now like any other proud mama Lola is perfect. My life is filled with such love for her that sometimes I can't breathe when I look at her. I have had Yorkies before but Lola is the only yorkie for me. One more thing Lola does not live alone with me she has two Maine Coone cat sisters that are tall and weight 20lbs. They love her so much that if she makes a noise that sounds like she is hurt they come running and ready to attack anyone that touch her. We are all blessed to even own Yorkies and you all have shown that with your responses. It is not me that is the angle it Lola and of course god. I haven't left my house in years from suffering with panic attacks but Lola won't stand for that and I am out 5 times a day on our property and around. Thank you everyone for being so loving. I wish you all the greatest love of all from me and my crew, Lola, Punkie, and of course her big sister Billie. |
