| Saw This Ad. Have Questions. They are 8 weeks old. Says they are purebred, have all their shots and are ready to go. They are home raised. Will probably grow to be between 2-3lbs. and are fully registered. Price: $450-$500 So, I am wondering why are they not asking more for them? Does anybody have any ideas on how come they are not priced higher. If I were to e-mail to get more information What questions should I ask about the puppies. What questions should I ask about the seller to determine if these would be puppies I would want to buy. |

| Scammers suck people in by offering dogs for low prices...then they want you to wire the money to them through western union for ex. you send your money and then you never get a puppy...first ask if you can see the puppies, where they are located etc...if you are told that they are out of the country, like in Nigeria...its a total scam!! If you cant physically see the puppies...run run run!! They are very good at scamming and you are right to ask lots of questions...hopefully someone else will be able to ad to my post...good luck!! | The fact that they are letting the pups go at 8 weeks is a huge red flag. Most reputable breeders will not release the pups until 12 weeks. There are reasons for this...Do a search and you will see why... Also, at 8 weeks, the breeder is trying to sell them before she has to spend very much money on them (ie. shots, more food, etc.) She can't guarantee the size of the puppies, it's impossible to guarantee. And I really doubt that every single puppy will be between 2-3 lbs. Ask the size of the parents. If the mom of the puppies is 3lbs, or even anything under 5 lbs, that's a red flag. A 3-4lb dog should not be bred..It's too dangerous. She should ask you questions also...She should be interested in your lifestyle, what kind of pets you currently have, etc. That shows that she cares about where her pups go and won't sell to just anyone. The ad says, "fully registered"...Do they mean AKC registered? AKC registered is the best registry, but doesn't mean that the pups are quality pups. You need to evalutuate the breeder yourself. See what kind of a vibe you get from her. But as far as the 8 weeks old...She should NOT be selling her pups that young. They should be with their mother and litter mates still...

| Before anything else, and before getting your hopes up, go see the puppies. I'm sure you can figure it out from there whether you should be interested or not.

| it might be a scam and it might not. before people holler scam, you, the buyer, actually need to go and see the puppies. eight weeks is young but they leave here in my area at six weeks.(not mine) That ad reads almost like any yorkie ad does in my Sunday paper for local yorkies so the wording of the ad wouldn't concern me at all if I were looking for a yorkie if it were where i could go see puppies in person. |

| I do not believe that they can have "ALL" their shots at 8 weeks of age. From the research that I did to find my yorkie most breeders (reputable ones that is) had told me that they would not release their yorkie pups until 12 wks. I would try and be patient and see if you can find someone else. You just never know. |

not everyone wants to charge an arm and a leg for their puppies and make big bucks! some just want a good home for their puppies at a fair price - like the lady i got romeo from. she could have easily charges $1500 or more for him but she said all she wanted was a good price and a good home for her pupppies. and he came with papers, too! i agree with sugar's mom - go see the puppies before crying scam. i see ad's like that all the time in my paper as well as ad's for $1500 puppies with no papers or health certificates. | i got suckered into a cheap yorkie and he grew to be 12lbs, horriable hair, large ears and snout. he was just poorly bred. i love him though!!! but will never never never ever go for a cheap yorkie ever again...i was so dissapointed and mad at the breeder for lying to me..everytime i looked at him, i would just get mad how i believed this person....also, i have learned to do research and only get my babies from someone i trust and has a good reputation.

| Pups at 8 weeks of age with all shots...Vaccinations should begin between at 8 weeks of age (otherwise if started to young you override mother's immunities ) and give at 3 or 4 week intervals. Eight weeks of age is too young to let puppies go....... Predicting the size of a puppy is predicated on the lines....however, that is totally not a guarantee. The ability to see the parents is a misnomer, grandparents are the clue, that and the pedigrees.

| I got maggie @8 weeks. most people here let them go between 6 and 8 weeks, not all but some. but even for here that price is exceptionally low, especially for the size they say they will be. maggies mom died and that might be why this girl let these go at 8 weeks but I doubt it. Her mom was 8 lbs and dad was 4 1/2 but she is 10 months and weighs 5 1/2 lbs and hasnt grown hardly any in several months.

| Thanks everybody for your help. I e-mailed them back to see if they were located in Oregon like I thought they were so I could go see them in person but they ship them from Texas. They said mother weighed 3 pounds and father 3.2 pounds. So, I will still be looking. |

| I got my little girl for only $350 and she is registered and beautiful! Also the breeders were wonderful people with 5 or 6 gorgeous yorkies of their own and the parents were both beautiful. I don't think you always have to pay crazy amounts of money for your baby.

| Hi. Did you get to see your little girl in person before you got her or through pictures the breeder sent you? |
