| Piper was supposed to be around 3 to 4 lbs full grown. She's around 7 1/2 to8 lbs now. It's a lot easier having her bigger, I think. Except she takes up more room in bed. LOL. Max is small a little over 3 lbs at 6 months. I'm always very careful with him, he's a rough little bugger. He plays so hard with Piper. We make sure everyone takes their shoes off, so not to step on him. I hope he does gains some more, but he'll probably stay small. I enjoy having all different sizes & breeds.

| YT 500 Club Member | After reading all of these posts, I realize that a tiny Yorkie is just so much more fagile. Our Yorkie is seven pounds, but she gets ill frequently due to things she eats (often I don't know what those things are). It may be something she has picked up off the floor, like an M&M (maybe). Anyway, when I asked my vet, she said that it is obvious that a dog so small would be more sensitive to these types of things. A Beagle or a Lab wouldn't have a problem, but a 7 lb. dog is much different. When you think about a 3 or 4 pound dog, how much more sensitive it must be. I would really be concerned all of the time. |

| oh god yes, I live in fear 24/7 my house has nothing on the floors, nothing on the coffee tables, Nothing anywhere that they can reach. My very first yorkie, Bella, died by choking on a treat so I am super paranoid about everything. |
