| Serious Question I have 3 yorkies...I was wondering just now...what I would do if I lost one of my babies. What would I do? Then I started wondering...will the other 2 notice that one is gone? I hate to think about it, I was wondering. Do they know? James |

| I had a cat once and her play buddy our other cat got hit by a car. She was so depressed and finally ran away. I think animals know when another dies and they grieve like we do.

| I think they know. Ann and Candy were my sister's yorkies. When Candy died from the result of a blotch spaying, Ann totally changed over night. She wouldn't go to my sister and hid all the time. Wouldn't play with any of her toys anymore(still doesn't). Suddenly was no longer potty trained. She looked depress all the time. Took her almost a year to recover. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | We always have 3 dogs at the same time for that reason - that way IF something happened to one - the other 2 have each other ... We had 3 cockers...now we have 1 cocker, and 2 yorkies... When it's Tessa, the cockers, time to go to RB....then I would get another yorkie...and we would then have 3 yorkies...and so on.... It's hard to think about.... but it's nice that you did - I worry all the time about their feelings, and I think if they have a buddy to help them thru a death - they cope better.... |

| When Madaline my bunny suddenly passed away when she was getting blood work done at the vets, lil bear was about a year old. She loved maddy and they played and lil bear gave her kisses. After maddy passed lil bear was so scared and sad I ended up sneaking her into my college classes for about a week. She still hates to be left in the kitchen when we go out, she looked to maddy for protection. Though I was hoping she would be the same way with moose but that doesn't appear to be happening.

| I would be so upset if something happened to either of my babies... I think Silk would know right away because when she gets up she looks for Remmy. Remmy on the other had is a loner and right now could care less but I'm hoping that with time Silk and Remmy will develop a bond. Chris |
