Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Help! Scratching too much! Bengi's been scratching too much lately. He hadn't had problems with allergies before, so I don't know much about the topic. He mostly scratches at night, when he's in bed. He eats Natural Balance Potato & Duck, which is a allergy formula, so I'm pretty sure that's not the reason. Plus, he's been eating that for some months already and he started scratching just a few weeks ago. I don't know what it could be. I haven't changed his shampoo either. Could Missing Link help with this issue? I never tried it... Please, give me some advise, thanks!!! |

| It could be his treats or even what you're washing in bed, blankets and clothes in (try different detergents and fabric softeners). I'm having this same problem with my boy right now. He licks his paws raw.

| Maybe you need to change his shampoo. Piper started scratching quite a bit, & I used the same shampoo also. I changed to an oatmeal shampoo, she is no longer scratching. The Vet said it was spring dryness due to weather change.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I bought a bottle of the Minksheen product everybody is talking about last week. I haven't tried it yet, but I hope it helps. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to try another product. |

| I was going to suggest that it might be due to weather changes or something like that. Maybe change his shampoo just to see if it might help.

| Try a pure liquid castile soap, then a hot oil treatment. Add cod liver oil to the food each day as well. |

| we have the same thing. The most important thing is that you stick with something for long enough to let it work cuz i dont think i was. right now shes eating wellness wet food and canidae dry food, has a teaspoon of missing link every day and we just started using the Petzlife shampoo and conditioner. I have to say there has been a lot of improvement but she still itches for about 5 minutes when she first wakes up in the morning. She also licks her paws a lot. But I hope this will improve when the weather warms up. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I know, that is terrible because some YTalkers feed that to their yorkies. Bengi gets the potato & duck, I hope they don't recall that one! |

| Have a scratcher as well. Tried everything! Nothing seems to work. Vet thinks it might just be habit! At wits end~Will try the oatmeal shampoo next. Thanks for all your suggestions as to what has worked for you. |

| I found Derma-tabs at Petsmart work well for Pookie. They are chewable and dogs love them. They are a vitamin tab with Omega fatty acids to help dry skin itches. |
