| Flop Ears Hello again and thank you all very much for your nice welcome messages : ) There is something I wanted to ask you... When I got Bit she had her ears taped. The breeder took it off and said that I should put the tape again the next day. I didn't. I think it's kind of cruel... well, cruel is maybe a too strong word, but at least it's obviously not comfortable at all for them, and she seems to hate it... I see in your photos that a lot of your dogs have flop ears. I don't mind that mine gets to be like that, but I wonder if there is any kind of inconvenient? Thank you |

| My Yorkie has floppy ears right now too - I'm actually hoping they stay this way - He is just too cute with floppy ears - From what I've read in here - They can go up by themselves. I think the tape just helps- I'm leaving it to be what it will be. |

| Not quite sure what your original question was? Are you asking if it's bad (healthwise) to have floppy ears?

| I think I've read that having floppy ears just makes them slightly more prone to ear infections. Don't take my word on that though..I think its just more of the owner preference on whether you want them to fit into the standard or not...

| Thank you all again for your answers : ) I don't want to show her, I couldn't care less about that kind of thing. For me a dog (as well as my cats) is a member of the family... And that's exactly why I don't want to annoy her with tape or other uncomfortable things which are not absolutely necessary. I was just checking if it would not bring health problems, that's all. |

| My 10 month hold Sam has one floppy ear and one that stands up and I just love it. He reminds me of Piglet from Winny the Poo with his ears like that and I hope they stay that way forever. |
