In A Time Of Need ... As I sit here bawling my eyes out , this is the only place that I could think of to turn for help. Please hear me out. I love Zoey to death. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for her. However , i'm in a serious time of need right now. I need to find Zoey a temporary home. I just can't take care of her right now. My health is in horrible condition and I haven't been able to nurse myself back to health since the beginning of this year. I'm not brave enough to discuss what i'm going through right now in the open forum so if you'd like to know more information , please PM me. I work fulltime , second shift. When i'm not sleep , i'm at work and Zoey is home alone. If some of you can remember I was going to get another puppy to keep Zoey company while i'm at work but that wasn't the best idea. I'm having a hard time taking care of one puppy as it is. I'm about to take some "leave" from my job but it's unpaid leave. My mind is struggling trying to figure out how my bills are going to get paid but i'll worry about that another time. If I don't take leave from work , I won't be able to get my health back on track. There is just sooo much that surrounds this. I wish I could go into full detail but I really don't want too. I'm looking for someone who is willing to watch Zoey for a couple of weeks until I can get myself together. I want her to be with someone who is willing to spend alot of extra time with her. Only for a little while! It's basically a temp thing until I can figure out what to do with myself. I'm not giving my dog away. I just think this is the best thing. I'm only 21 years old and I have alot of burden over my shoulders. Not to mention i'm doing this alone. I'm located in Winston-Salem , NC. I'm so sorry your going through a rough time ....when it rains it pours sometimes....I so wish I lived closer I would have loved to watch Zoey in a heart beat for you.....I really hope things work out for you... I sincerely hope what ever health issues your dealing w/ gets resolved soon for you also :ghug: |

I'm so sorry you are going through this. If I was closer I would take Zoey for an "extended sleepover" in a heartbeat for you. We would love to have her. I truly hope you can get some time to yourself to recover and I'm sure someone here can help you out. Good luck to you~ |

It sounds to me that you are doing the right thing for yourself and for Zoey. You are admitting that you need help and that is the best thing you can do for yourself. Plus this is the best place to ask for help. If I lived closer I would be more than willing to care for Zoey while you figure things out. You have me worried but know that when you are ready to talk you'll let us know. I'll pray for you and keep you in my thoughts. I'm hoping someone that is close to you will do this for you. Please keep us updated. |
I hope you can find someone soon. I know how it feels to have your health go bad and it is so easy to get down thinking it isnt going to get better. Keep you chin up and hang in there. Remember there is a rainbow after the storm. |
1 Attachment(s) Thanks everyone! Your replies and PM's are so generous and I appreciate ALL of it. I absolutely have to do this. No doubt about it. I'm crying at the fact that I won't be able to see her for awhile but it's for the best. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions for the outcome to be great. This is the first step to making my transition. Once I get Zoey to a safe place , i'll feel alot better. I'll be able to concentrate on my health , job situation , bills , etc. It's alot but i'm trying to handle it as best as I can. To whoever it willing to help me , i'm not going to dump her off on you. I'll send her food. She has bowls , two of her two favorites toys , clothes , etc. She likes to go outside too! That's one thing that I haven't been able to do for her. I live up three flights of steps and with my health being in such bad shape , I feel horrible going up and down the steps. I'm in such bad spirits right now , I don't know what to do. Once again , I appreciate all of your help! Here's a picture of her giving me a "pose". |

I'm so sorry you're having such health problems....I can really relate to that (not me - my husband) ...but want to send you a get well wish and I would help you in a heartbeat if I were in your area.....There has to be someone close to you and someone just pointed me to your thread ...so people are looking ! |
Awwww, my heart goes out to you. If I lived closer I would take your baby in a heart beat. She would have fun playing with all my animals. We are one big happy family. I am so sorry and will keep you in my prayers that everything works out okay. I don't even know the details nor do I need to. Prayers and a cyber hug on there way. |

I am so sorry to hear this, I hope you get well soon. I used to live in Thomasville, NC (45 minutes from Winston), but now I'm back in Ontario. I have lots of "family" & friends in that area that MAY be willing to take her in for a while. Tomorrow, I will call everyone I can think of and PM you. Once again , thanks! I can't beleive how supporitive this forum is. It's amazing that people that don't even know me are willing to come forward and help me out. There are soo many good people in the world and I can honestly say that you guys are the most wonderful people. I'm still working on getting her a place. Hopefully this is going to work. I'll open up about my condition. I'm having alot of "female" problems. My doctors have been trying to rule out cervical cancer but we don't have a clear answer right now. Alot of testing is going on. Imagine how overwhelming it is for me being 21 years old and have to think about cancer. I basically LIVE at the doctor's office and i've had some horrible experiences so now i'm in the process of finding a decent doctor that can give me more clear answers. That's why i'm taking leave from work. I'm constantly in pain so it's hard for me to sit down all day and cringe when pain shoots through the lower half of my body. I have so many PM's in my inbox and i'm so happy that people are opening up to me and giving me an outlet to express myself. I'm trying to answer everyone really quick so be patient with me. Keep them coming though. Thanks again guys! |
I wished I lived closer to you... I would absolutely agree to watch your baby. Alas, we are in CA. Frankie, me and Chachi will keep you and your baby in our prayers. |

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I lived that nightmare when I was in my mid twenties [I'm 64 now]. They, fortunately, have made great strides in medicine since that time. After three surgeries, they pretty much removed everything that even "hinted" cancer and I have since lived a relatively healthy life. Wish I were closer ... we would love for Zoey to visit Toto for as long as you need. Meanwhile, all I can offer are my prayers! Just remember, we at YT love you and there will be a solution. Keep your chin up!! |

OH thank god, Looks like someone is here to help you and Zoey. I can tell you I know how you are feeling I had a abnormal pap come back with cancerous cells. So I had two surgerys and they scraped everything and was put on meds and now everything is good. I am Praying for lots of healing for you. Good Luck! |
