Toby actually takes me to his "empty" bowl and lets me know he is hungry and wants fed!!!! Then he sits right next to me while I prepare it, making these little whimpers just to make sure I do not forget what I am doing. Kallie on the other hand, just lays down a couple feet from their feeding stands and watches Toby carry on and me fixing the food!!! And then when I put the bowls into the stands, they smell it and chow down.

Maybe he's being polite or had a bad experience with a dog & food agression before you got him ?

I have the same issue with my Zsa-Zsa. That girl will kick the stove, the refrig and the cabinets, she just is sure that the more insistant she is the more food she is going to get. Eve just sits like a lady should waiting patiently.

Sachi is very odd about food. He will only eat on one of our beds. Then, he tries to take a blanket with his nose and cover the food up. If a blanket isnt available, he still does the same "cover up with a blanket" move with his nose all around his bowl.?.
I think he has some form of doggy obsessive compulsive disorder.

I also have the opposite problem. Wes always runs into the kitchen whenever something is being prepared. He's always convinced it's for him.

morgan thinks all food is her food and prances around anybody begging for a taste. However, when its time for her dry food she doesn't even care. If there is wet food involved she goes INSANE and can't even wait for me to put the dish on the ground. if she was a cat i'm sure she'd try to climb up my leg to get the dish.

maggie is like this too. but she really does not eat much at all. she will eat carrots and doggie cookies all day long (she RARELY gets the cookies but we do treat her to carrots a couple of times a day). but she just really couldn't care less about her food. with that being said...when she came home from getting spayed, she ate like she was starving. she hadn't eaten all day so I can imagine she thought she was being punished

but other than that...she doesn't care to eat much. which is why I am always shocked when she gaines weight.

our other dog, the min pin...he goes NUTS over food. in fact, if you don't feed him when he THINKS it is time to eat...he whines and whines and whines. he is very "food motivated". our cocker, she doesn't care one way or the other. she eats all of her food every day but it sometimes takes her hours. she just kinda snacks.
