| No Topknot? This may really be off the wall; but do any of you have your little men in long coats, but without topknots? Sawyer is starting to grow a lovely silk coat, but he hates a topknot. He rubs his head, and his hair is so fine and silky that the band comes out no matter what kind I use. I know I can train him to leave it alone, but does anyone have a different style with the long coat, but no topknot I want him to be happy, but I can't bear the thought of cutting off that lovely coat I have worked so hard to help him grow.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have Pixie, a female in long coat and no topknot. When I got her at 13 months the breeder had cut her topknot and we just think it looks right on her. Cali my other Yorkie has the topknot. You can see them both in my Avatar

| Both of my boyz have silk coats with long hair and no top knots. I just give them an 'eyebrow' that curls over their eyes a little and I brush the rest to the sides and towards their back, it lays that way naturally now and I think they look cute. Here's a picture of each of them... 1. Jo 2. Riley |

| I think they look cute with no topknot with a cut to frame thier face. Molly has along top knot and I braid it. She has such a nice coat she is light but I have had to cut it many times so it doesn't drag on the floor. I am tempted to cut it for summer so she is more comfortable but I can't bring myself to do it. I did thin it out some Jackie |

| I really like it too...But I like it both ways. Hopefully my baby will let me put a topknot in so he can wear bows! (People always tell me I should've gotten a girl if I wanted a dog in bows )

| I've groomed many a Yorkie and owners say don't bother putting in the bows - they'll be out before I hit the parking lot. Let's face it you could comb and brush all day and all it takes is one good shake and you're left with a "messy" Yorkie.

| You can train the hair to go the sides and the rest of it back without having to cut any of the hair. Good luck!!

| Both of my males will not tolerate top knots. Each of their coats grow out over the winter, and I just trim around the eyes (like my2boyz said), giving them 'eyebrows'. It looks really cute and it's much easier than struggling with bows that only last a minute!

| I want Pepper to have a nice long coat too, maybe not all the way to the floor but long, still... I tried to make top knots a few times, but his hair is so slippery I can't even tie the rubber band, it keeps slipping off. As it is fine, as well, it lies down along the sides, Unless he plays with something and gives it the 'death shake' - he looks like a little rocker then LOL
