| Donating YT 500 Club Member | Good luck in whatever you decide. I think both babies are gorgeous. (The face on the first one is undeniable and the second one's coat -- wow. It will probably get lots of nice coloring if it's that lush and black now.) But ... you never know. You can't even use the parents to gauge what they'll look like. I sure found that out. I echo the opinion on personality. I was very lucky. My boy picked me. I was dead set against getting another dog (after having had to put one down suffering with cancer) and reluctantly agreed to look at puppies. One was really feisty and when the lady asked me if I wanted to hold him, I thought he would be a little worm. Instead, he gave me that look, put his head on my shoulder -- and kept it there for the next two to three hours as we debated and negotiated, looked at parents, etc. If I asked him if he was lovey, he promptly gave me a kiss. Little sucker wormed his way into a home! And I'm so glad he did. |

I read several books and articles prior to starting our search and that is where I got info about what questions to ask the breeder and what to expect to be asked. There are many online sources for that kind of information also. That and the fact that we were able to play with the puppies long enough....just for the fun of it and to get a good idea of individual personalities. This seemed important to us since we were looking mainly at puppies who were all around two months old (not deliberately, just the way it was when we were looking) and knew we'd have to wait at least another month to bring them home. If you live close enough to the breeder you choose to work with you could spread the time over two or more visits. But really, there is no rule. It is an individual thing. May take you less or more time. | |

				   | Forgot to add that we visited a couple of breeders who didn't have any puppies at the time and spent almost as much time in discussion with the breeder, checking their adult dogs, their homes, their experiences and so on. So many resources I had researched before starting to look stressed that it was as important --- if not more important --- to choose the right breeder as the right puppy. I really wasn't sure about that at the time, but after reading about the problems with breeders some people on here have had, well, I guess that really is true. |

				   | The first one is soo cute. She reminds me of Lilo at 8 weeks. Both of the girl look like have a longer nose ( not like babydoll face). Lilos snout is a little longer too, but it doesn't bother me, except when ppl are asking me stupid question like " is she a full blood yorkie? YES!!! Oh I thought she is mix BC of her long nose!!!" Well DUHHHHHH , Yorkies come in different shapes and sizes just like ppl!!! I have a big nose too, but nobody tells me that I'm not human!!! Also the first one looks a little big for 8 weeks old. She might be on bigger side. JMHO Here is pic of Lilo at around 8 or 9 weeks.and one right now.

				   | Cuties, Cuties.... Good luck making your decision!!! I thought I had a name picked out for my femalebefore I brought her home. It was going to be Bella. But.... I decided to wait until I saw her at home. I made a list of names I liked and said them over and over until I decided that when I said Sophie that is what she looked like. So, instead of Bella, I have a Sophie and it fits her well, I think. Good luck adn picking a baby and a name!!!
