| Wire haired yorkie I have read on here people talking about yorkies with wire hair, I would like to see other pictures of them I think that is what my Ziggy is. She does not have as much hair, and does not take much grooming. |

| I believe I have a wire hair Yorkie. This was just discussed a few weeks ago as I was concerned that my Bijou was mixed with something else and that was the reason for no hair. I believe she is about 9 mos. old. It's kind of guess since I got her from a puppymill.

Do you have pictures of your Ziggy? I'd love to see There are many very knowlegeable people on this site that can take a peek at pictures, ask a few questions about the coat and be able to tell you I know that the description of yorkie coats is very confusing........it's not that simple to figure out. I WISH we had a sticky or thread with pictures to better visualize. I would LOVE to see pictures of each coat type next to a description. I have attempted in the past but no go..........maybe someday?

Bijou is such a pretty girl! She looks like you do a fine job with grooming (and I know you've never cut it-but looks so neat ) She looks all yorkie to me-just with a wiry coat

Bijou, truly is a beautiful girl...........I am so glad she ended up in a wonderful home! On the flipside, you can dress her up to the "T" and won't have to worry about matts, or haircuts!!!

| I have one that has a wire coat. He has also been called a red legged yorkie. His hair grows really slow and tends to break off before it gets very long. I recently gave him a haircut and love the shorter look on him. 1. 4 mths old 2. 1 yr old before haircut 3. 15 mths old 4. 15 mths old |

She is a cutie. I have to be honest tho. With her coloring and short hair around her face she looks like a Chi/Yorkie mix. I saw a Yorkie once that had the same coloring and I thought they were very cute.

| I agree Emmsmom, I do like her red hair, and was not too disappointed with the lack of grooming needed. She has been with me through the teenage years of two sets of twin girls. But now she has a new little yorkie sister who is making up for it. |
