| I WISH we had a sticky or thread with pictures to better visualize. I would LOVE to see pictures of each coat type next to a description. I have attempted in the past but no go..........maybe someday? [/B][/QUOTE] Great idea. Wish that would happen. I would have loved a visual before getting my Yorkie. I am learning so much every day though, so my next Yorkie purchase I will be better informed.

| Wire Haired Yorkie finally a name I was given an adorable Yorkie in November 2008 and she is my heart. They told me that she could not be sold as she had the "blue gene" and this meant that her hair would not be full but it stood the chance of falling out completely. Well her hair has not fallen out, she does not even shed and it appears that she is a Wire Haired Yorkie judging from the photos you all have posted. She is very well behaved and I have had no problem with training her, she even goes into the shower to piddle if I can not get to the door fast enough for her. She is truly a love. |

| What is my new little dog? I think my new dog (from a pound, picked up as a stray in Kansas city,) is also of the wirehaired type. Posted two pics and would appreciate any guesses as to his breed. |

| Wire Haired Yorkshire Terrier! So I rescued my dog from a very poor environment and named her Bella. For 2 yrs I am thinking she is a chorkie (a mix between a chihuahua and a yorkie) so yesterday we take her for her routine shots and I ask the Doc if he can tell me how old is she and her actual breed. He tells me that she is between the ages of 2-3 yrs old that she is a Wire Haired Yorkshire Terrier. I was taken back because I didn't know there was such breed of dog. Se will be 3 yrs old in February and she is very healthy. I love my Bella wouldn't change her for nothing in the world. But I posted a pic of what a Wire Haired Yorkshire Terrier looks like before and after a hair cut. |
