| i had to put bells on romeo!! my youngest son took him outside yesterday to potty and was playing with him - my DH was under the garage because he was working in the yard. he asked him if i knew he was outside with my "baby" and my other baby said - "no" so he told him to take him back inside and get my permission first. well as my DH was coming in to get something romeo heard the door open and took off running from the front yard to follow him - boy they are sooooo fast!!! - and was caught in the door as it slammed!! (i've told them that you can't open a door without him running to follow) oh my baby screamed and screamed and they came running to me with him and he was crying so i started crying! his little leg was so limp we thought it was broken! it took 15 minutes before he could walk on it again - so now he is wearing bells and we know where he is at all times!! he is running around and happy as he can be as usual - thank God!!

| Francie - you would really laugh at them now because now the joke is "here comes romeo down the hall!" or "romeo is in the kitchen" because you can hear him jingling!! GracieLou - rest assured that if i had seen even the tiniest limp he would be rushed to a vet! but he is not limping at all and just finished chasing my other son all over the living room before he had to go take his early morning nappy! my husband was so upset because he knows how much romeo means to me and he adores him,too and thought he had killed him! they hear him now but they still check down at their feet before closing a door again!

| wow that was a close call... the bells are very useful, I used to put one on Pepper in the first few months as he seemed to be always either underfoot or right behind you ! I'm glad your little baby is OK

| I need to get some bells to put on Sissy, the little stinker has been going down the stairs right behind me when I go out.I don't even know it and it has me scared to death she is going to go out and me being scattered brains at times I won't even notice that she came out behind me. |

| yes it was very close and we all know how lucky we are that he is fine! i am used to him because i am here all day with him - every move i make he is sitting there looking up at me if he isn't sleep or busy with a toy so i know i can't make a move without looking down first! now they realize it,too. shadow - i have had that same fear, too!! you can't hear them at all until they are right in front of your eyes!!
