| how to count puppies before birth My Yorkie is 8 weeks pregnant today. (56 days). The poor girl looks like a white watermelon. I keep reading all this stuff about how to tell how many puppies she's carrying. Then my Vet's secretary tells me there is no way to tell, not even with x-rays or ultrasound. Is there a way? Please help. Thankyou, Jude

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Hehehe ok that was cute about the watermelon thing I can just picture your baby with that big belly and all those babies "in the oven" I have no idea how to answer your question though as I am not a breeder, but you may get more responses and help if you post this in the breeder section - just a suggestion

| X rays are the most reliable. My Ollie is due on the 14th, I plan to get the x rays next week. Nothing is fool proof, but they can count the spines in the last week, however there can always be a hidden one. |

| LOL. Well this is my first litter, so I know nothing. Since I'm new here, I don't know how to find the breeders thread. Haha! So Jeannie, your little mamma & mine are due together huh. I can't wait. My yorkie is so precious. Jude |
