| Peeing everywhere after neuter Howie was neutered last Friday. Since then, I think he's pee'd on his pee pad 5 times. I've been finding spots of pee everywhere else! It's so frustrating and I don't know what's going on. I thought he might have the lifting leg effect, so I put up a bottle on his pee pad. He didn't lift his leg to pee! He just squatted like normal. Anyone else have this problem? |

| Emma did this for about 7-10 days after her spay, and I've heard of this from others too-it seems very common. My theory is that since that area is a little tender after surgery, they don't want to go potty because it hurts, so they wait, and wait, and wait until they can no longer bear it, and then they just GO wherever. In a few days it should be better. Another idea I had was that since they lose those "parts" the hormone levels are fluctuating all over the place, and it takes awhile to get level again. Give him another week and see if the problem resolves itself. |
