| I just and watched the video on expressing the anal gland. How do you know when this needs to be done. My little ones go to the groomer, should I be asking her if she does this? Is this something they are automatically supposed to do?

| Some dogs never have to have the anal glands expressed. If you can feel any lumps by the anal, then the glands may be full. If the glands are working properly on their own, then they will always be emptied out each time the dog has a bowl movement. |
