| ![]() Jeremiah is the best yorkie...well my only yorkie I ever had. He is smart, cute, and likes to cuddle but the one thing he doesn't like to do is sleep. He sleeps on my lap when I type on the computer or when I am on the computer or a least pretending to be. He naps for a few minutes. Today I had to nap in the computer chair for him to get some sleep and for me as well. Why do you get a yorkie to sleep on his own?

![]() I crate mine. She wouldn't sleep, and the vet said to put her in a crate with a nice soft pillow and then cover the crate with a blanket or material. It works wonders for me. I was uop at least every hour on the hour and taking her outside to go potty etc. After crating and covering her she sleeps all night long! Good Luck! PAT

![]() Yeah, we crate Maddie at night and she sleeps through the night. We do try to make sure that we give here some serious playtime in the evening to tire her out and she sleeps about 8-9 hours a night that way. Just make sure you introduce her to the crate before she sleeps in it. Try keeping a familiar smelling item ( an old shirt of yours or a towel from her breeder) in the crate with a toy and take the door off of it. Place it in her play area during the day. She'll get used to it pretty quickly so at night he'll see it as a safe place to sleep. Tom

![]() Can't help with that as Hefner is a great sleeper!! He goes to bed before me and get sup after me!! He loves to sleep!! Which is great, because I do too!! I love to sleep in on the weekends and he lets me! I do get Chai in the morming when my daughter leaves for school and she is a little more hyper in the morning but will usually settle back down and go to sleep! I love the baby yorkie sleeping sounds!!!

![]() I don't have a problem with mine sleeping but I do have a problem in that they won't go to bed without me. Well, I take that back, Lacijo goes to bed with daddy. Even Lady, who's baby is 24 days old won't go in and go to bed if I'm not in there. Good thing Matty is an only child and so fat!!!

![]() Sorry your pup isnt sleeping well, but glad to see this post-Dixie doesnt sleep either. We had about 4 hrs sleep last night and since she came home on Tuesday The most sleep Ive had is 5 hrs which was Tuesday night. She will sleep in my arms if I put her in her baby blanket and rub her belly but she wakes easy. If I get up to walk to bedroom she wakes right away. The big dogs all stay awake until I go to sleep and if they walk about Dixie wakes right up and ready to play. She does take a couple small naps during day and at 9pm she takes another. Our house is far from quiet-kids, the big dogs, cats-seems any noise and she is up and ready to play.
