Yeah, we crate Maddie at night and she sleeps through the night. We do try to make sure that we give here some serious playtime in the evening to tire her out and she sleeps about 8-9 hours a night that way.
Just make sure you introduce her to the crate before she sleeps in it. Try keeping a familiar smelling item ( an old shirt of yours or a towel from her breeder) in the crate with a toy and take the door off of it. Place it in her play area during the day. She'll get used to it pretty quickly so at night he'll see it as a safe place to sleep.
