My poor Snoodles had just a slight LP when she was little. This is her first year check up (she was born in Jan, so is 1 year 4 mos) . Couldn't believe itl progressed so fast. He said every step she takes, it goes in and out. I was so taken back by it. She runs and jumps and doesn't seem to be in pain. She will do the hop thing sometimes. He said she could break the tendon inside the knee also. But, he said to wait until she is really having a bad time with it. I told him how she doesn't seem to cry or anything. He said people who have bad knees hurt but don't always complain either. I asked how much it would cost and he said around $700. We don't have an orthepedic vet here, and don't really know where one is in Montana.
Oh! I am really scared for her!

Sorry for all of the questions, but I had posted that I wanted to wait bc it doesnt seem to be affecting Tino's quality of life and since he is only a year old, the orthopaedist said it would be okay to wait. I am just trying to make the most informed decision! Thank you!

I emailed a friend for Snoodles who ALSO has a Gracie ...who also had both knees done - She recovered pretty well - I can pm you her name since she isn't a member here and you also can talk to her if you like - She already helped with some great info for Snoodles via email -

Whatever you decide to do, if there is a vet school in your area, that might be a good place to go for a second opinion. Good Luck and give her kisses from Rini's cuties..

Thanks everyone! I'm still scared and know she will have to have it ---probably pretty soon. I am just soo scared for her. She is sooo tiny! But, I can't let her live her life with bad knees. I know how they hurt, as I have 2 bad knees also---scared to have them operated on, so you can be sure I am scared for Snoodles
