| Help! Need your opinion! Hello Everyone! I would appreciate all of your expert opinions. I have been in contact with the breeder I bought LiLi from because I want to buy a little sister for LiLi. This am after I called her she explained to me that indeed one of her females had given birth to a pup last pm. It was a little girl. The issue is this: the Daddy she had recently purchased DNA did not match his paperwork? {I'm not sure of all the details but that is the bottom line} She had already returned him to his previous owner. but, not before he had gotten to one of her females. So, this is the puppy we are talking about. She is a very honest, kind lady and I trust her. She explained that this puppy could not be registered. I am not planning on breeding and she would be an additional pet for the family. Do you think I should bring her home? She said, I could come look at her in 4 weeks. I was considering sending her a deposit so that she would hold the puppy for me. She also said that she had recently bred her other female and would find out in 60 days whether she was pregnant or not. I am in no hurry. What should I do? What do you think? What would you do? Thanks for all your help in advance.

| What if you give her a deposit and after you see this puppy if it isn't what you want let her use the deposit for the next litter she has. All 3 of my dogs had papers but I have never registered not one of them. I didn't see the point, I had them all spayed or nuetered because I didn't intend to breed. Could you see the Daddy? Maybe that would help to see what the pup may look like. I probably wasn't much help, but goos luck in your decision.

| Thanks Thanks! You are right, she costs less than my other yorkie. Do you forsee any other problems that might come up? I am sure if there are any health issues the breeder would work something out with me. I want a healthy happy little puppy! My husband is very skeptical. He thinks we should wait. That way we know what we are getting. What do you think? I already feel sorry for the little misfit!

| I would buy her. After finding out how honest the breeder is you have to believe that she will not sell a sick or mixed breed puppy. She brought the father home thinking he was the right dog so he must have been a pretty good specimen. Have you talked to the breeder anymore? Did she tell you why she did DNA testing? |

| thank you all Thank you all for your excellent advice. The Daddy was sent back to his original owner in Kentucky, is what she said. She said he was avery cute dog. Yes, she is honest or she would not have said one word about anything, I believe. That is a great idea about the deposit, I could always use it toward another puppy. She would be a family pet, and she would never know the difference.......I am so glad that I got a chance to hear from someone different. I was leaning toward buying her but, had a few doubts. I would love to hear from anyone else that might have some ideas. Thanks

| The red flag went up for me when you said she would know in 60 days if her other female was pg.. I'm pretty sure she would know long before that!!! She's a BYB. Do you want to take that chance? I hope you aren't planning on buying any puppy sight unseen. I would not be making a deposit on any puppy till it was about 8 to 10 weeks, so I could see if it was going to be ok. I'd also want to see the parents and the home. Also that they have the puppy bile acid tested and a contract with a health guarantee. |

| pup Dna problems are showing up more and more now..and that is one reason many breeders are going the route of registeries that do not care about true parentage...how many years will it be until a non-AKC pedigree is pure fantasy..and I might add AKC pedigrees are only as honest as the breeder..! This breeder was fortunate to find out so quickly..not unsual for the AKC to null and void dozens of pusp from a sire.. |

| Wow! Lot's to think about.... What is a BYB? Baby Yorkie Breeder? I bought my yorkie LiLi from her 1 year ago. I have been to her home and have seen her dogs. She did not call me. I called her and she asked me if I would be interested in this puppy. I said I would like to come see it in about 4 weeks. She said OK. She also gave me a health guarantee on LiLi. Getting everything in writing is very important. I will call her back and ask her some important questions that have come up. I thank each and everyone of you for your time and consideration. If you think of anything else let me know. Thanks
