| ![]() Yes her hair is truly that short on her back. When I got her I figured the puppymiller had clipped her for convenience sake. Nope, she just doesn't have any hair, especially on her back. LOL. During her first trip to the groomers they could only clip a few hairs away from eyes. Otherwise there was nothing to clip. Gotta love her though, she is such a sweetie pie.

| ![]() She doesn't look scraggly at all though, like many wire-haired yorkies I've seen. She looks so neat and tidy and healthy! I still think she's super cute, but who knows, maybe she has "late blooming" hair! ![]()

Wow, I would say she is not full blooded yorkie then. But still her face looks just like a yorkie and I'm sure you love her regardless. | |

| ![]() She's a beauty! Maybe something missing from her diet or the stress from being in the mill. Look into Missing Link. It's additional suppliments that you add to the food. She's a doll baby face. Enjoy her! ![]()

| ![]() You never know...maybe your Yorkie Just needs some time. I have a Shih Tzu I bought as a baby who was pretty darn bald and most shih tzu's are super fuzzy . She is just NOW starting to sprout some new hair growth. I want to say I KNEW this about her though when I chose her. My Zoey had been VERY tiny and skinny when she was born. She was half sized and the breeder hand fed her for WEEKS. The breeder told me they totally expected she would not make it but they kept trying with her. All her littermates were full and flufffy . This poor baby was nothing but wisps of fluff and pink skin that you could see in the light, but very healthy and lively so i took her anyways because she had the CUTEST face ![]() ![]() I'm so glad I went with my gut feelings because even though she is still a bit thin haired she has THE BEST temperment and really is very healthy despite her hard beginnings.

| ![]() Bijou looks full yorkie to me.........very adorable ![]() Bobbi, has a slow-growing coat. When I got him at around 12 weeks he had little hair (especially on his feet) compared to all the other yorkies I would see here on YT. In fact, the hair on his feet was there sparingly and you could see his skin. His chest had a white patch and you could see his chest skin. Some people would too question if he was a silky mix or yorkie mix when we went out. Some people would be attracted to his size (small) but would direct their attention to the poodle instead (broke my heart). Other times, we would see other yorkie owners at the store or something and they would be carrying a fluffy, teddy bear looking pup younger than mine and question his breed as well. Someone else suggested he might be a red-legged yorkie etc. Of course, I love him to death and no one could convince me otherwise. He was (and will forever be) my beloved yorkie ![]() THen, someone suggested he was going to be a silky coated yorkie and *might* surprise everyone as he got older..........this person (YT member) was right on the dot ![]() ![]() Anyhow, Bijou might surprise you later on. Either way, that sweet face is truly adorable ![]() Here is Bobbi before and now........

| ![]() Bijou looks all Yorkie to me. Her face is darling. Because she was a puppy mill baby I would certainly link diet to her coat being course. Change her diet and I feel sure you will see a difference in acouple of weeks. Try missing link. I have to say Buddy was on it for 3mos and I did not see a difference in his coat but it works great on others. I would also try Canidae dry dog food. Buddy has been on Natural Balance Organic for 2yrs. Two weeks ago I started mixing Canidae with the Natural Balance and I just can not believe the difference in his coat already! It has more shine to it for use. Also shampoo and conditioner are key. Try Petsilk or Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditoner. Cranberry Fields can be purchased from www.beyondspoiled.com and has gotten wonderful review from YT'ers. Good luck with your baby. She is precious I am sure you will see a change in her coat if you change her diet and shampoo. |

Started her on Missing Link only a few weeks after I got her (from the suggestions on this site). Hasn't done anything for Bijou but I swear my little Chin's hair grows faster and is silkier since I started my zoo on it.

| ![]() Looks like a Yorkie to me. Please don't worry about the Hair. I have what I think is a combination Wire Coat/Soft Coat. Be very paitient with the coat - It will take a long time to grow. My Lexi is 1 1/2 years old & still has no great length & never will But very nice looking. Atatched photos of her 1 yr ago at 6 mths & now at 1 1/2 yrs old. I give all my Yorkies Solid Gold Seameal - its similar to Missing Link. Just be sure to always use a detangler every time you comb her hair - It does break off very easy. I use Cowboy Magic & sometimes Plush Puppy Seabreeze Oil. I get the Cowboy Magic at the local feed store in the Horse supply dept.
