| ![]() can anyone just take a pic of their dog's nails for me? i used to take princess to get her nails cut but they always barely cut anything off and they said that since i only take her in once a month, they cant cut much.. like u can only cut more if you do it weekly ![]() so im cutting her nails now myself and they just always seem SO LONG!!! i feel like i can cut more, but im scared.. i was wondering if anyone could just take a pic of their dog's cut nails and just post it so i can see how long it's supposed to be? ive seen diagrams before, but i would like to see an actual pic if possible, thanks!!!!! ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I dont need to trim any of mine anymore due to the fact that they take walks on the pavement and that keeps them filed down short. when I was cutting them tho I prefered the scissor type cutter with the guard on it. the guard prevents you from cutting too much off at a time.

| ![]() The "quick" inside the nail will retreat further back the more you trim them, this is the part that bleeds! that is why they said to try to do it weekly for a while. Have a little corn startch, flour or table salt nearby to use to stop the bleeding. Ice or a stiptic pen (drug store) also works well. Walking on the pavement is good, but watch the dew claws (if they still have them) they can curl into the footpad. roxanne in nc
