Am I missing something... Even though you are going to keep this yorkie in the house, why do you want to get a yorkie from someone that doesnt take care of their dogs? Why does she insist on keeping him outside? How old is he? |
Well it seems like you've gotten some great advice thus far. Neither of my dogs live outside but they spend hours outside daily. Yorkies definitely aren't 'hardy' enough to live outside and I really don't see why someone would get a yorkie and leave it outside  |

I agree with Txshopper and everyone else... I will be 25 years old in a couple of weeks and have wnated a dog for over 5 years.. I was living at home and going to college away... I decided that once i moved into my own apartment and had a job that would be the perfect time for a dog.. Well, I found a place, got my dog and we are happy but i am realizing it is a HUGE responsiblity.. I grew up with cats who are very easy and independant.. I am sleeping only about 4 hours a night because Mocha is up at least 2 times to pee and wants to play.. I have spent ALOT of money on her and if I want to go away i have to find someone to watch her.. I knew it would be alot of work but I truely didn't expect this... All the scratches and bite marks on my arms, legs, feet, my chewed up computer, phone, and TV cords, chewed up furnature...I suggest you wait until you are older and maturer.. It will be worth it.. Patence is a virtue.. If you can wait for the right time to get a dog, it will be more special |
I know what you all are talking about when it comes to the responsibility! I knew from my friends what a commitment it is to have a dog... I waited until I was 34 to got Tino. |

NO!!!!!! Honey read the threads and post here. Yorkies or anyother dogs for my part. maybe outside to play but they are pack animals and need to be with their pack , which is you.Why have a dog at all ? They are suppose to be your companion Sorry your family want let you have a dog inside, maybe you should wait till you grow up. Never outside alone either. |
Ok, whether anyone reads this or not, since it's been posted for so long. How could anyone leave a Yorkie outside all the time, even in Alabama??? I think that is cruel, not just for Yorkies, but for any dog. Why have them. It sounds like the breeder is just making money off of them and not really caring about them. If they're skimping on keeping them in the house, could you imagine what kind of vet care they have gotten? Dog ownership is a very big responsibility whether you are buying or breeding, and it shouldn't be taken lightly... |

I agree with you yorkiegal! All dogs need special attention. I find this to be especially true for comet. As much as he loves to be outside, he is so affected by the weather. Wind, cold, heat and rain, just like people. Yorkies are very delicate dogs and really have to be treated delicately. |

Read Yorkielover_201 replies! Yorkielover_201 has stated many times in her replies that the dog is currently living outside and when she gets the dog, the dog will be an inside dog living with the family. To me, this is a rescue. I know of other people on this site that have rescued their yorkies from people like the one that Yorkielover_201 is getting her dog from. These people have been commended for their heroic actions. Instead of giving her suggestions on how to love and take care of this dog, only a few people have done that on this thread. Yorkielover_201 was just stating the conditions that the dog is currently living in. I'm sure that she got the point that Yorkies are not dogs that should be kept outside. Yorkielover_201, did you indeed get the dog? If so, how are things going? |
no i havent got him yet the woman is changeing her mind back and forth or she my give him 2 me as a birthday present |
