| Confused about old threads Over the past couple of days, I have noticed very old threads being responded to....like threads that were started in December and haven't been posted on. Anyone know why? |

| Oh sometimes they go back years and dig one up. I guess someone was just reading through old threads and found one they wanted to respond to. Many times it's because they have done a search for something and an old thread comes up and maybe they don't even check the date, they just reply to it. |

| I belong to an European forum and there are threads being 'dragged' all the way back from the past like 2002/2003. People just keep responding on and on and sometimes the topic changes, it's not what the thread was initially about. It's a little funny. It's like reading about dogs all the way from puppyhood into adult years in one thread

| well, i find it very irritating. Someone recently dragged up one of mine that was two years old and when i first got a baby yorkie. it was awful. All these brand new people offering me advice. I posted under one person and told them I didn't need the advice now that all is well and it is an old thread. i got cussed out so bad that admin closed the thread and I think they banned the person. |

LOL I think that is just too funny. I always try to look at the dates. And I also look at how long a person has been a member before I hand out too much advice. | |

| I guess at some point Admin should close the threads.. leave the ability to read them, but not respond....

| What happened in my case was that I only looked at the last thread on a few, which was yesterday. But then, the one above was months ago! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It happens especially with people new to sites that may and just see something that pops up at them and respond...I think it's funny & who knows...what's an old thread to some may be brand new to another cept Sugarsmom LOL - WOW sorry that happened to you - if someone can lose their cool over something that small they don't need to be online posting anywhere. What a silly thing to get mad about |

| I recently posted a reply to a 2005 post! It was near the top of the forum I was looking at. Some of the other forum areas are posted on less often than the general discussion section so that the top ten threads showing could span weeks or months.
