| ID Tags Ok....dumb question....where do you put your yorkie's id tag? Tia will be getting microchipped in May when she goes for her spay. I would also like her to have an ID tag. To have teh tag hanging from the ring under her chest on her harness doesn't make sense. I could attach it to her D-Ring, but it would probably bother her. Even if she got used to it, I'm not fond of having her harness on when she's indoors (which is most of the time) because I don't want it to get caught on anything. She has zipped past us when the front door is open. I could attach it to her lead, but that kind of defeats the purpose. What do you guys do?

| My girls ID tags are kept in their folder with all their other important documents. They are all microchipped also. They don't wear collars, & they only wear harnesses to walk. If they did get out, I'm sure a collar with tags would help. Unless the person that found them took the collars off & desided to keep them. If I found a dog without a collar, I would take it to my vet to see if it was microchipped. Hopefully, more people think like I do.

| My girls' tags are also kept in their folders. They are seldom 3 foot away from me, and in Jujus' case, the tag is almost bigger than she is.

| Adie wears a little collar that I have her id tags attached to. She wears it 24/7. I do NOT attach a leash to it and it is very soft and comfortable. I am terrified that she will slip out and get lost like little Cubbie did so that's why. I use a harness when I take her for walks. Her rabies tag is in my purse. So it is only her id's on the collar. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | morgan has her id tag and microchip tag on her collar. i live in the basement of my house and that is where morgan spends most of her time so there really isn't a chance of her running out any doors. she wears her collar when we go out but i don't attach the leash to it.

| Percy is micro-chipped (as of today), but, he wears a little collar with an id tag on it. Just in case he were to slip out, or something awful like that. I don't use the collar to walk him, he has a harness for that. From working at the shelter, I know a lot of people don't bring in found pets to see if they are chipped. Shelters and vets always check, but a lot of people (especially ones who don't have pets), don't think about that.
