I was scrolling my way through e-bay this afternoon and just love the darling little window stickers with the cute sayings and pretty pictures of Yorkies.
Of course I am tremendously proud of my babies and they do go out with us quite often, especially when we travel in our RV, so I thought,"how cute, I'll put those stickers on the rigs so everyone can see that I have Yorkies."

WHOA SISTER!!!!! It hit me like a ton of bricks. Yorkies are being stolen in horrid numbers, and I was thinking of advertising mine to some jerk who would waste no time in breaking a window and taking my darlings.
A sobering thought to say the least.

Think I'll just enjoy my kids without exposing them to that potential threat.

How many YT members have those sweet little stickers on your rigs, homes, or whatever? I'd be interested in how you feel about this. Thanks

that was my thought exactly when all the theft started getting worse. I keep a sticker on my front door saying I have 4 yorkies. (just in case of a fire, I want them to know they are here and to save them all if I am not around). But ...I think I am going to keep it there. I figure I need to worry more about them being saved from a fire. I can't keep thinking that some one may take my babies.
besides that... if anyone ever stole my babies.... they better worry more about me than the police. I would spend the rest of my life making sure the theif does not enjoy theirs. If it meant nothing more than sit on their door step and stick my tongue out at them daily. they would be extremely sick on me.

I have a fire sticker on our door that says we have 2 dogs but not specifically what kind. My neighbors know our boyz and they are aware that they are first priority if something happens and we're not home...and...one of our neighbors is a fireman so that helps!

I guess mine just says 4 dogs also. but like you said, everyone around here knows we have them. when I meet a neighbor in our area, they always say, "oh you are the ones with the dogs". they know our dogs before they know us.

I too keep a sticker on several windows and doors around the house asking firefighters to save my pets, and it is generic as to breed. I would be just as livid as you if someone ever attempted to hurt my kids. H--- has no fury, etc.
All my neighbors in the mobile home park we are in know that they can rip out walls, break down doors, or blast out windows to rescue my babies if needed.

I too am proud of my babies, but when we go out in the R.V. I keep them close, and no I would not advertise them.

I had a cute "Yorkie Crossing" sign in my front garden that I removed after that story about the yorkies stolen at gunpoint. I put it in my backyard...big whoop! Maybe I should get a "Vicious Pit Bull Crossing" sign to put out in the front...

The fairy outfit on Pippa is one of those teddy-bear outfits. I got it at Hobby-Lobby...which is alot like Michael's in other parts of the US. The little harness vest in leopard print and pink bow was ordered from:http://www.chloebella.com/ a Fellow Yorkie Talker makes the clothes (chloeandJ) she's a wonderful seamstress and it's Pippa's most comfy practical piece.

Unfortunately you can't make announcements like that. It really gets me how people will hang those signs in their yards when they have a new baby. Maybe I'm paranoid but it's announcing the fact that there is a helpless infant in the house just ready to be taken if someone would be inclined to do that.

I have even had second thoughts about taking the furkids out for walks. Pretty sad it has come to this for us.
