| Scared of Puppies??? My Rylie is 14 months old my sister recently just got a new puppy (a maltipoo) Last week Rylie met her new cousin and was comepletly fine with her. Then last night I was over at my sisters house and Rylie would be near the puppy and the puppy would be trying to play with Rylie.. she would be biting her hair and I guess pulling a little. Rye would then run away from the puppy. It was like she was scared of her.. the puppy would chase Rylie and she would run away. Is this normal? Has your dog ever been afraid of a puppy before? She does get a little scared and shy around other dogs, but never really runs away. I am scared that Rylie will not like her new cousin. And in July they will be living together for a whole month while I am puppy sitting. Will they be friends by then? I s Rylie really afraid of the puppy?

| puppies have really sharp teeth and that is the way they play ...., Riley was probably annoyed by the nips and knew better than to nip back, he knew he couldn't protect himself .,, but in time he will love the company I am sure |

| She isn't used to the way a puppy plays, and the puppy hasn't learned just how to play either, so both are learning new things and this can be trying for the both. Just make sure the play is supervised so that no one gets traumatized. They will soon get to know how to play with each other. Take them out in the yard and roll a ball. Get them to play with things together too. |
