Nylabones ... By-Products??!!??!!

I've always heard that Nylabones are great for our babies. Well I bought the carrot ones today and when I got home from work I read that the first ingredient is BEEF BY-PRODUCTS!!!

I'm totally confused! I thought Nylabones were totally healthy for our babies. I'm confused!! Does anyone else use them? If you do, what does your label say?

I don't use that type (edible) because Izzy gobbled one up one day in 5 minutes Now I buy the really hard plastic looking kind. Great for teething, and they have used the same ones since I bought them, I just put them through the dishwasher every few days or so, or more if they look dirty. They don't chew them all the time.

I don't use nylabones at all -- My crew chewed tiny bits off of the NON-edible ones -- had plastic poo for days

Who else uses Nylabones? Have you checked the label?

I don't use the edible ones or the ones with the softer plastic nubs.......I tried them but they made me nervous that little pieces came off......I stick to the hard plastic......Brandi is 11 months old now.....she still has the hard ones because they were her baby toys and I don't have the heart to take them away.....but they are in tact.......no pieces missing......

We have the Filet Mignon flavor (edible ones) and our ingredients say nothing about by-products Strange! Obviously different flavors have different ingredients, but why the Carrot flavored ones would have by-products and not the Filet Mignon ones is beyond me

By the way...my two LOVE these! I have given these to Stedman for an entire year almost and he has NEVER had a problem with them Tatum loves them too! Stedman started out with the green ones...but then mommy found the Filet Mignon flavor and he likes these much better lol

My dogs like all the flavors ... peanut butter, cheese, BBQ chicken, carrot but why on earth would there by by-products in CARROT nyla-bones? I'm really concernec and upset because there are so many treats we CAN'T give to our babies and I want to keep giving them nyla-bones. Maybe only certain ones are ok or maybe there was a mis-print on the label.

I personally think this product is so bad for any dog especially a toy one.
The plastic ones are not digestable and tiny slivers of plactic are ingested.
It is like swollowing pins. They become logged in the lining of the stomach or
bowel track and can cut into each causing bleeding. I know because
Buddy chewed them until he was hospitalized with vomiting continuous and severe blooding diahrea. It was a possibility the vet
said. Stop giving them to him. 4 days later he was ok.
Read the labele. It states small pieces, like a grain of rice, might come off
and "SHOULD PASS!" What happens if it does not. Hospitalization, that's what.
For the digestable ones I tried once and he ate the whole thing in minutes. No more. Try natural plain white bones. I get them in the
pet store.

I know a lot of people say their dogs eat them in minutes but mine never do. I usually take 1 bone, break it into 3 pieces and it takes them about 2 hours to eat it. I never give them the plastic bones.

I gave chachi a bacon one once and he got runny poo so I dont give them to them

I give my crew the Cheese Healthy Edibles Nylabones. It takes them a couple of days to eat one. IT doesn't list any byproducts in that flavor. Maybe it's just the carrot flavor. I doubt it's a misprint.
