| Sophies Ears I have a question. We got sophie 3 weeks ago and when we got her she was about 9 weeks old. When we got her , her ears were floppy, but about a week later they stood up nice and straight. ( I later learned that thats normal.. shortly around 9 weeks old they should start standing up ). Well, I had to go out of town from last Wed till today and a friend of mine kept her for me while I was gone. When my husband picked her up last night he noticed that one of her ears is floppy again and it doesn't stand up now. Still today its floppy. Is this normal ? Thanks.. I'm all new to this !! | I'm by no means an expert, but Chloe came to us ears up at 9 weeks. She dropped one ear a couple of weeks after we got her for about 3 days. It went back up on its own. I read on here it can be related to teething. |

| I would tape the ear, "just in case"...

| Mattie has done the same thing -- at 10 wks they were up and then a couple of wks later he had one drop. Now at 4 months they are both up but they one that dropped has a little tip in it. I dont worry about it anymore. I still love him no matter what happens to his ears. shelley

| Are you shaving the hair off her ears? It helps the ears to stand up if you take the weight of the hair off.

| I just saw a picture of Sophie! What a cutie pie! and Yes, her ears are shaved so if it doesn't stand in the next few days, you might want to try taping it. I don't know how but I'm sure there is a thread on it. And a belated Welcome to Yorkie Talk!!!
