| Question about Missing Link Since getting my new puppy, I have been using Missing Link sprinkled on her dry food. Actually, I am using Missing Link with both the new puppy and my adult Lhasa Poo-- I had never used it with him before. The package says to refridgerate after opening. I sprinkle the Missing Link on the dry food. I leave dry food out for my dogs all day. The food stays out all day (until it is gone) and I refill the bowls in the afternoon. I don't use the Missing Link in the afternoon. My question is this... If the Missing Link is supposed to be refridgerated, will it go bad sitting out for several hours on the dry food?

| It won't go bad.. You are supposed to keep in the fridge so it stays fresh and you keep the contents vital longer over the life of the bag. Having it out for the day is not going to do any damage to it. Its not going to turn or go bad, its like storing your vitimins in a cool dark place, its just to keep them fresh! The flax seed, in oil form can go rancid if it gets warm, so be careful not to leave it out in higher temps or outside in the sun, for any of us who feed it to our larger dogs who might eat on the porch.? The Missing Link formula does contain flax but its not heavy in oil so I would not be overly concerned by it. If it was rancid, YOU"D KNOW! Its not a nice smell! lol

| How absolutely crazy!! I got on specifically to post a question about missing link.... I accidentally left mine out on the counter this morning after I fixed Summerlin's food. I was wondering if it was still any good. Guess this answers my question! This is why I love yorkie talk |
