| you have to give then childrens benadryl. I gave it to mr biggs last month because he was itching like crazy. I gave him 4ml (basically 1 teaspoon). it helped with the scratching. There weren't really any side effects. He slept a little more, but that was it.

| I've given it to my pups when they've had a reaction to vaccinations, or been stung by a bee or ant. Just made them a lil sleepier. per my vet's instructions a I use Baby Bendryl and only a teaspoon.

| Why did you give the benadryl in the first place. Maybe the vomiting has something to do with the reason you gave it and not the benadryl.... I hope she is ok... |

| The vet told me to give Bella about a half a teaspoon so that she will be tired and not not jump around so much after her hernia surgery. But I got "childrens" does it have to be "infants"????

| I use childrens, I am not sure if they even make infants. I am not sure why she would vomit. Did she vomit right after you gave it or was it a while later? If she vomited right after maybe it was because it tasted bad.... . Has she vomited any more? |

But to answer your question....this was a while back and my vet suggested I try benedryl to "calm" Lexxi before a grooming because she has seizures. She threw up, I canceled the grooming But she was "fine" with no othe effects from the meds.

| I had to give Tatum Benadryl a few months ago because of an allergic reaction she had to something in the grass or ant bites (never really knew what exactly happened). I honestly don't remember how much we gave..... I called my vet to ask how much to give. The only reaction she had to it was a little sleepiness but it sure did help her allergic reaction very quickly!

| Bella If she just had surgery, it is not uncommon to have an upset stomach for a day or so... |
