| she did it again! I have a 5 mo old recovering from a hernia/spay repair so she has her cone hat on -and isnt really allowed to run /jump (staples so it's been 10 days) she is nutzo when i finally do let her into the living room... so i've decided to let her have the whole kitchen when I know she has already gone number 2. the problem is, I am tired of sitting in here on the kitchen floor with her-the minute or two that I bring her into the living room, it's like she is just so excited that she pees... in little string lines all over-from the couch to the loveseat and so on another few times, she has been playing with me-and just squatted w/o sniffing or anything-or playing with my other dog and middle of doing something will just squat and go-like she is too busy to search out for the potty pad-which she was using about 75% of the time bfore this surgery ... i am so bummed... I am now again, the only person in the house who likes her, the other dog is scared of her w/her cone hat on and my daughter is tired of her biting and scratching (did I mention she has gone from somewhat calm and loving puppy to scary super psycho pupp who bites and scratches and just gets so excited when you sit down that you have to sit on your hands) you'd think she isnt getting any attention, the thing is she is getting more attention now than ever before b/c i feel bad for her with the staples and all and not being allowed on the furniture..... so here I sit wondering if anyone else has experienced a setback or regression like this. it's frustrating b/c most of the time, the puppy will come prancing around you trying to sit but she is so excited and you know she is looking fo a treat b/c she has just gone on the potty pad (she gets treats for this) and now----if she's in the living room, it's just too much to take that 1 and a 1/2 foot walk over from the couch to the pad any ideas /suggestions? i can't put a leash on her very easily w/the ecollar----or harness b/c of the staples |

| now I'm wondering if her spay or hernia repair could be causing pressure against her bladder-since she just 'goes' no sniffing, no stopping to look around most of the time and she is doing the 'excited peeing' a LOT more than usual. Guess I'll have to ask the vet- I'm sure he'll say NO-most professionals hate to admit they might have done something wrong .... it's just so weird that she went from being good to really really bad-all of a sudden after her surgery anyone else experience this w/their spay/hernias? |
