| Help !! Bleeding Toenails can someone pls tell me how to stop bleeding... i'm panicking, i cut the toenails a bit too short i guess. i applied pressure but its bleeding lots and wont stop. anything i can do or apply? thx..pls reply asap

| nail IT takes 10 mins of pressure for a clot to form, and then they should be penned for at least 30 mins or the clot will open.....next time buy some Quik stop powder for these problems...good luck |

| nail IT is scary, but seriously they can not bleed to death...just press cotton or a cloth on it and wait... |

| ok... its so scary...... so much blood..... it seems as if its slowing down now...thx again... i have tissue paper on it and wrapped with a cloth and i'm applying pressure........yikes.. next time i need to be more careful... i've never had this problem before

| You can get styptic *sp*?? pens which you hold to the toenail and it stops the bleeding. Also, a small little dish of flour and water that makes a paste can be applied to the toenails to stop the blood in a pinch. I just take a little bit off each week because almost all of my dogs have black toenails but I did clip one a little too close a few weeks ago and I was freaking out! If I didn't have the styptic pen I really would have freaked |
