| sorry if this is stupid of me so, does that mean that coat type can be determined when the puppy still has its puppy coat; for example when going to see a puppy at 8 weeks or so, if you take a picture with a flash then look at the eyes will this show a future silky/cotton or is it completely unpredictable with pups? very interesting/imformative thread btw!!

| Silky? Does this mean Thumper will have a silky coat? She was 3 months old when I took this picture, she is now 4 months old and her coat feels rough to me, except her head which is silky feeling. |
