| I don't know much about crossing the border...I think as long as you have your ownership papers and the pup's up to date on shots you should have no problem... Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on finally finding your puppy! Is it a boy or girl? |

| Read this link too! Great info! http://www.pettravel.com/immigration/Canada.cfm Here's a blurb from the link: Bringing your pet to Canada There is no quarantine period for pets entering the country, however there is a $30.00 inspection fee. A current health certificate completed by a licensed veterinarian in either English or French and dated within 10 days prior to departure to Canada must accompany pet stating that the veterinarian has examined the dogs and is satisfied that the pets are not less than eight (8) weeks of age at the time of examination, are free of any clinical evidence of disease, were vaccinated not earlier than at six (6) weeks of age for distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and parainfluenza virus, and can be transported to Canada without undue suffering by reason of infirmity, illness, injury, fatigue or any other cause

| I did it a few months ago and all I needed was the bill of sale and the list of current vaccinations from the vet. No problem. Call the Canada Customs office if you're still not sure. Be advised, though, you cannot take dog food across into the U.S. (or treats). I took some and the customs agent let me go but warned me not to do it again. We bought our Sophie in Michigan..the border is about 5 mins from my house and we go across all the time. Just make sure you have her pertinent paperwork and you'll be fine. |
