Questions about stinky Grizzly Salmon Oil... Does anyone else have a problem with the way this smells? I put it on her food and it gets on her face hair and then she smells like a big fish. Any suggestions. I would love her to have it but I can't get past the smell.

You don't need to by the expensive grizzly salmon oil. Sardines and cold water fish such as salmon, mackerel, halibut and herring. You can buy fish oil gel caps and cod live oil gel cap wherever vitamins are sold.

I use grizzly salmon oil for both of mine but do it in the evenings. I wash their face with a little bit of shampoo and water afterwards and then I spray petzlife oral care spray in their mouths then they have the WHOLE night for the smell to completely go away and by morning they don't smell at all.

Do I look for "fish oil" capsules? Do they smell bad? My Golden Retriever Jake used to take the omega fatty acid capsules that I got from my vet for his dry skin and it helped and they didn't smell either. I will go to wal-mart today and try to find those fish oil capsules. Thanks. I still give the grizzly salmon oil to my lab and golden retriever since they don't have long face hair it doesn't make them stink.

I get mine at walgreens. I buy store brand or whatever is on sale. This is much cheaper and works just as well. My boy has no flakes and his coat is silky soft
