Rocky had a few knots in his hair from wearing sweaters, so tonight I was trying to get them out. It wasn't a lot, you could only tell if you brushed his hair the comb would get caught in a few spots. Well some were really close to his skin, so I had to cut his hair, then I had to make it even, and well after about 1hour or so, his hair is like 3inches shorter and uneven

It looks layered, I wanna take him to a groomer to get it evened out, but I'm afraid their going to make it really short. I hope it grows out quickly!

Oh yikes! But I bet he feels so much better without the mats! I would have done the same thing. That's one of the reasons I don't dress my girls except on occasion. They tangle so easy under the outfits.

I got a flowbee with a pet extension on ebay & it works really well. It sucks the hair in like a vacuum & then cuts it, you choose the length. Just make sure a ear or tail doesnt get sucked in.

Sorry to hear about your baby's hair

My Trixie found gum one day and I had to shave her practially bald. It was a nightmare. Its taking forever to grow back

I hope you can get your baby's hair fixed the way you want it

When I was done he started giving me tons of kisses! I think he likes his new hair cut, LOL. It's soo cold in IL that I keep clothes on him most of the time, but hopefully now I can keep up w/ his hair better so it doesn't get bad.

So I have 2 choices, one is leave him w/ the uneven haircut, or the other is to get an even haircut, but his hair will be too short.

He's absolutely precious. Maybe you could let it alone now and keep trimming to get it even again. Just a thought

I honestly don't think it looks bad. He's just so darn cute

I think he could be bald and still look wonderful!!!

I think he looks adorable - his "haircut" looks cute. I wouldn't have it "fixed" he looks great!

Just hold off a couple weeks & see how it looks then or if its grown some even it up then so you wont feel its so short-up to you. sorry your upset but he's healthy & happy & it will grow back. So no worries. He's stilla doll & with clothes on no one can tell anyways

I think it looks kinda good, especially once it's evened out on his body.

Thanks guys! I hope it evens out naturally, I really don't know how to do it evenly, and I'm so afraid to take him to a groomer.

Dina_Nichole, during the summer I DID him bald! It was one of those things I had to try out, but now since it's cold out I want him to have his longer hair. Here's a pic of him bald

He looks just fine. If you want to do an even cut, just get the right attachment for the clippers. It's easy that way.

That is the cutest picture ever! Look at how cute he is!
You did a good job cutting him this time. If you didn't point it out I wouldn't have known he was uneven.

I agree, let the hair grow out for a couple of weeks and try evening it out or get professional help.

The good thing about Yorkies is their hair will grow!

Besides I think most of us at one time or another had a grooming oops at least once!

I told the groomer to Trim 1" off... They wrote down trim 1"!
I was mortified when I picked her up and I can't post what Danny said when he first saw her!

I think he looks cute like that. It looks liek a layered look it doesn't look messy or chopped.

Oh WOW! That's more than what I took off of Rocky! And her coat was soo pretty, but she still looks cute w/ it shorter!
