| I am new here I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I have a sweet girl Yorkie named Suzie who is 6 years old. She is the second Yorkie that I have owned. I had a male who went over the Rainbow 10 years ago. It took me awhile to get another fur baby. I said I didn't want another dog no matter what. But my daughter bought this little darling for me and I fell in love all over again. I had some trouble with detachment problems with her. She ate the wood work off of the door frame. She had to be kept in a cage for a while I was gone. I tried everything my Vet said to try and nothing worked. I solved the problem by rescuing a Chihuahua from a abusive home. Now Suzie has Baba to keep her company. I still have to lock her and Baba up in the kitchen when I leave. Suzie will try to eat the wood work off of the door frame if I leave her loose in the house. She has even left blood on the door from trying to get out to follow me. She is OK as long as she is in the kitchen and Baba is with her. Baba doesnt have any problems with me being gone and he does help Suzie as she doesn't scream and cry so much. I do not have a way to post pictures of my Suzie on here. Suzie coat is blue and gold. Of course I think she is the most beautiful Yorkie in the world. What mother doesn't think her fur baby isn't? I have her coat short right now so she don't get so much snow stuck on her. She loves to be outside and doesn't think twice about tackling a snow drift. Other then her detachment problem, Suzie has been a excellent companion to me. She and Baba sleep with me. Suzie has slept with me from the first night she was here. She was so tiny that I had to put the bed against the wall so she wouldn't fall on the floor. LOL Now she is a big 7 pound girl. Well I guess that is enough about my fur baby. This looks like it is a interesting site. Everyone here has one of the nicest and cutest fur babies on earth. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Hi and welcome !! mine have a few detachment issues but not as bad - they just never leave the front door when I'm gone and go CRAZY when I come back....to the point of chirping and kissing for about 20 straight minutes...I love it but wish they weren't SO dependent ....my husband is home 24/7 so they aren't even alone but you'd think they were... I'd love to see pictures of her |

| Hi and Welcome to YT!!! You've come to a great site to meet great people and talk about your babies. I had a maltese first and she had serious separation anxiety problems!!! But we got her little companion Yorkie brother and the anxiety amazingly disappeared. Everything I've read off sites and even talked to my vet said getting another dog would not solve the problem...................WRONG!! It solved my girl's problems from the day we brought him home!!!

| Welcome to YorkieTalk! Miko used to have separation anxiety, but it has gone away. It sounds like getting a companion for her was a great idea. I'm sure it helps Hopefully, you can post pictures soon!

| Is that a picture of the new maltese you got in your avatar??? I need a bigger pic!!!!! I had to laugh at your post cause it was the opposite with mine. We had the maltese with separation anxiety and once we got the yorkie, she was great and didn't have it anymore! I see we are both bouncing back and forth between sites...........ROFL.
