| does anyone else do this? I have been trimming (clippers) the top of maggies nose. that hair there just grows straight into her eyes and it just looks so much neater...more tolerable...when it is shaved down. i see a lot of the doggies here have the long grown out hair on the nose...i am thinking i will keep maggie's shaved...does anyone else do this? the first pic is when we first got her at 10.5 weeks and the others are since we started shaving her nose. what do you think?

| beard trimmers or the regular dog clippers work fine. i use thinning scissors to fine tune the edges. i am loooooving my thinning scissors most groomers will do it for you for free or a very minimal charge. i did that the first time and then from there figured i could do it myself. i touch it up every couple of weeks.

| I have to keep Azraels cut off the nose because her hair is so think that even when it was really long on her face, she till couldn't see over her nose hair most of the time and I was always using doggie gel on it to make it lay down. Zada's is different. She has the show coat type, and I'm sorry I even cut her down. I'm letting it grow back out. |

| I often think about doing that but am too scared to try as it takes so long to grow back.

| I had the groomer do that to Sassy right after I brought her home. It needs to be done again and I am wanting to do it myself. Could you please tell me about the clippers....did you say moustache clippers? Her face is just way to small for regular clippers, I think. Wonder if Walmart would have them? I would think I need a pretty good brand, too. Any suggestions? |

| I do it on my pet yorkies but not on my show girl. Even though Mimi is now retired from showing I still dont do it. If I had to go back and start over with my other girls I wouldnt of done it either. I hate that the hair grows straight up.

| I've started doing this as well. I like to keep their hair shorter around their face, so it wasn't ever going to get long enough to pull itself down flat. Using a combo of scissors and clippers, it's very easy to get it to look right and "blended".

| A vet tech did it for Tia at her last visit....less mess from eye boogers and much easier to clean now. Plus we think it makes her look younger...you know, like the teddy bear face! We will probably keep this up, but grow more length above her eyes for a topknot. |
