| Ear color........ I think I've mentioned before that Riley's ears never turned tan on the back...the hair has always been black and is still black on the back of them. He is now 21 months old...could this still change? He is different in his coloring than Jo and I think he has a modified silk coat. His face is light tan/gold and silver, his legs are light tan/gold and his body is black/bluish silver. I don't care if they change, in fact, I think his coloring is beautiful although I know it's not within the standard but I don't breed and he is neutered. Does anyone else have a Yorkie with black ears? The first picture is the back of Riley's ear on the left and Jo's ear on the right so you can see the difference...the second picture is the back of Jo's ear. | I've heard that the back of the ears is last place to change... Don't know how true it is, but that's what I've heard. Charlie (who's almost 15 months now) is very light all over, but the backs of his ears are still a bit darker. Not black like Riley's, but they're still darker than the rest of him. |

| Hmmm...I've never heard that before but I'm sure there's a lot I haven't heard! I've never had one that didn't change until Riley so I just wondered if it was common. Maybe he'll still change. |
