I got kicked out of Sams! Can you believe these people! All I wanted is a couple packs of blackberries!;) Jazzy wasn't going to attack anyone! ROFLMBO!!! I had him wrapped up in a blanket like a baby and the women had to ask to see him! So they told me he couldn't be in there I left. No way was I leaving him in the vehicle alone! I just wanted stinking blackberries. At the most 5 minutes. I understand they have rules. I just gave it a shot. Thought I might sneak by so I could have my blackberries. LOL Anyway Jazzy went to the Vet. He checked out perfect. He weighed in at 2.12 pounds.. LOL He is a little sore on his back where they gave him a shot but otherwise he is perfect! |
I'm sure Jazzy was a lot more well behaved than any fur kid under the age of 15 would have been! I would boycott that store! |
Next time, tell the greeter that your baby is sleeping, and besides that he is allergic to grumpy door cops.:D So were you gonna make a blackberry cobbler? Boy that is some good stuff! |
I'm always getting kicked out of places too........:D So sad because our little furbabies are better then most skin kids. :( |
Huh My lil sis used to bring her Yorkie in there all the time. They never said a thing.. I guess it is all in what person see's them. |
I think it's all about the carrier. I went to CVS the other day with Queequeg and no one even knew she was with me. |
Unfortunately, we cant take our furbabies everywhere. Rules are rules even if we dont like them...LOL Blackberries----YUMMY!!!!! |
I also was asked to leave sams. I had carried Sawyer in and so many workers and customers asked to ooh and ahh over him. Then I met the Grinch!! She said I had to leave as sawyer was not allowed in. I told her that I was not in the food section, and that I had to be a member to even enter this store. She was not moved however, so I told her I had no idea where my husband was in the store and that I had told him I would meet him in the jewelry department, and that I had no intention of going out of the store without him. I would wait in the jewelry department for him, and we would leave. She huffed, but agreed. Did you ever know how many departments you go to to reach the jewelry department?? LOL If she had stopped me again I guess I was a cooked goose. Get a life, a 3 pound yorkie in his mommy,s arms is a lot better behaved than two thirds of the kids in those stores.:teethysmi :teethysmi :teethysmi |
I get that we wanna take our babies everywhere i really do i want to take them in stores to but there is a reason and it is health. Even though they are our precious babies they are still animals and just think if some rotton person brought a dog in that was unkept had fleas and paracites and walked through the food section or anywhere and she was touching the dog and then touched the food or something and you picked up that food and took it home and got sick from it. Also what if you were severly alregic to dogs but someone brought one in and was right next to you and your throat closed off and they had to call the paramedics because someone snuck their doggy in. what if you were eating in a reasteraunt and someone had snuck the dog in and the waitress wanted to pet it and sisn't wash her hand or the hair got on her clothes and then she touched your food or hair got on your plate really it's gross animals don't belong in those places for a reason. Yes i would love to bring my babies everywhere but we can't and i know that we are responsible and clean and take care of our babies but there are others who don't and to be honest i wouldn't want them around any food i might get because you just never know. Sorry guys i'm off my soap box lol. |
I take Rocky most places, but I don't even attempt stores that sell groceries, that's kinda a given...but it still sucks being kicked out! I wouldn't have left him in the car either. I'm glad that his vet appointment went well though :) |
when I was younger we had some family friends whose son was very allergic to any dogs, poodles yorkies all of the breeds even purported hypoallergenic. He could nto even touch the hand of someone who held, pet a dog. He was so so allergic to everything and almost died more than once. I always felt sorry for him because he couldnt really do anything and when he did he had to get a ton of shots. ANyway, I imagine that may be a reason too. I used to sneak my devildog into stores in my regular purse She was so tiny and had such back hypo attacks I hated to leave her ever Bon |
I take my dog to the grocery store, Target, Astro Burger even thought the are not allowed. I figure what they don't know won't hurt ... :p I've been asked to leave before but now I make sure to be discreet! |
No offense, but I don't get why people are so offended/upset when they get kicked off for bringing in dogs. |
I think allergies is a silly reason to deny a dog from going into a store. I'm highly allergic myself to dogs, but have never had a problem being around something so small in an enclosed bag. I'd worry more about the dog hair on some people's clothes standing next to me in line. I do agree though that as pet owners we can't really get too upset about store rules and regulations. I hate that I can't take my dog many places, but I know that's how it is. I'm too wussy to sneak them in anywhere also :( |
I'm a terrible person... I snuck Izzie into work on Monday when I picked up my schedule. The bad thing is that I work in a restaurant... I didn't go anywhere *NEAR* the kitchen (I had someone bring my schedule to me at the front of the restaurant.) She was semi-hidden in my sweatshirt the whole time. I ran out of there as fast as I could when I saw one of my managers... (I knew that it was wrong, but I just couldn't help myself!) I don't think that you can really take offense to people asking you to leave the store, not just for health purposes, but for lawsuits too. What if he accidentally bit someone? Sam's Club could be sued for that.... (I grew up in southern CA, where everyone sues for EVERYTHING!) |
What are the rules for "dog smuggling"? We got Calliope on Saturday morning. I took her to the vet 1st thing Monday morning - right after my daughter and I had our teet cleaned. It was fridgid cold out and she was scared so I couldn't leave her in the car. I know...I'm HORRIBLE. lol  But I know the Dentist personally so I figured if we're going to get busted anywhere - that'd be the best place to do it. Being a new Yorkie owner, I have never done that before and wasn't sure of the rules but figured a Dentist office where everything is sterile wouldn't be the best place but...what the heck. Of course she couldn't stay contained the whole time and we were busted about half way through the visit. But what are the rules? Is Petsmart the only place I can take her? |

I would not have showed him to her. I would have been like, I am in a hurry and dont have time for this and got all pi$$y at her lol. Hey it would be worth a try :p Heck I can bring my girl in to food stores here. Your going to wash most food before you eat it any how  + its not any different then having people who dont wash there hands after using the restroom touch all over the food and then put it back |
I knoow I would get kicked out of Sams if iI took a dog in too because not only do they sell food they cook it too for samples |

I think some of you took me wrong. I am not mad at all. I was not offended..I just found it funny. I understand why they don't allow them in there. I just needed to go in and hated to make another trip today. |

Speaking of dentist.. I took my duaghter to the Orthadontist yesterday and it was warm so I was sitting on the brench outside. They asked me to come in and show them the puppy. I was shocked! I fugured for sure I wouldn't be allowed in there. Everyone in there just loved him. |
I remember the first place I was asked to leave.....it was my favorite bagel place.....but the owner followed me out and explained that someone had filed a complaint (he has the most magnificant dog that he brings to the store but leaves outside) he asked me my order.....and then brought it outside to me.......and said "it was on him" I told him I completely understood....(normally I would have been a nasty *#$%& and never gone back.....but how could I when he was so nice to me....actually that was the 2nd time.....the first time was the week I got her my eye doctor's office asked my daughter to wait outside with my 1 lb 12 oz baby (they did let her stay in the outside lobby area) |

Vinyl, soft-sided carriers are great for that. We took Ozzie to the vet back in November and on the way home we went to Home Depot that was just down the street. Walked through the whole store with him slung over my shoulder. Nobody said anything -- except at the checkout -- and they just wanted me to turn so they could see him through the mesh opening! |
"kicked out from a Basketball game " My 12 daughter had a basketball game at a school gym , we took miley when she was just a baby because she was going to the vet after the game , I had her on a blanket and was sitting front row, I guess that was my mistake ....to sit there or nobody would notice her , tiny little thing with out making a noise ; some person came to us and told me she couldn't be there ....so I had to take her out and missed my daughters game. :cry8: |
