| How long should i wait....? We started using Missing Link on Saturday. Im not using it for supplement purposes because i think Chewy is getting everything she needs. I dont want to over supplement her and i'm paranoid about her liver because she spent a few months on strong meds. SO....i only want to use the Missing Link if it is trully beneficial for her. Im giving it to her primarily because of her scratching. I dont know if it is allergy related or skin related but as far as i understand ML helps for both. How long should i wait before deciding if its working? It has been 5 days and she's SCRATCHING right now!!!!! Thanks |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had Cali on it for 6 months and it did seem to help her coat but she was scratching so much I took her off of it and she is still scratching, It does take 6-8 weeks to see results.

| It takes at least a month on the full dose to see the difference. It won't work for every dog, I'm sure, just like other stuff I saw a huge difference in my girls after a month or so. They had flakes, itching, poor dry babies Now they don't itch, the flaking is 90% better, and their coats are shinier and silkier And I can smell ya from here That IS a joke, btw, no offense meant I know what you mean, though, I have had a couple of posts that got NO response at all.

If she is scratching think about her diet. Does her food have corn and wheat in it? They are two foods that can cause allergies in pets. Try changing her food. Try orgainic or Canidae. Lot's of members use it and swear by it. Missing Link I would think would take aleast 4weeks before seeing a change. Buddy has been on it about that time and I'm not sure if I see any change. | Thank you all for your responses. She's eating canidae dry food and wellness wet for breakfast. I tried giving her fish oil but it didnt seem to help much so ML is my second attempt to get rid of the itching. The two vets i've gone to say its not worth doing an allergy test on her because its not too bad but i still feel really bad for the poor kid. She just sits and scratches for like 5 minutes sometimes!! I hope this helps at least a little. I just dont want to be giving her anything unnecessary cuz she doesnt seem to like it toooo much and I also dont want any extra supplements or anything that can be hard on her liver. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks And i just got out of the shower so i dont smell anymore. HEHE |

| Sorry your feeling ignored It must be the stink, LOL!!! I just started using mising link myself so I'm also curious to say how its going to work. My pekingese is my itchy one and I sure hope it helps. My one yorkie girl Trixie Bear has some flakes but really doesn't itch Hope it helps with this and Princess Pia is fine but since their getting it I figured what the heck and might as well give it to her too I hope this stuff helps. Good Luck with your little one. I know how the itching can drive you nuts.

| It's not a stupid question at all.........but I do suggest using the search button above. If you type missing link, you'll get a TON of info-since misisng link questions are asked atleast once a week on this board I feed mine the full teaspoon since he was 12 weeks old. Not a problem here. Since you have a liver fxn concern, I would address this question to your vet. Good luck

| She doesnt have any sores but she does have some dandruff and she seems to scratch her eyes a lot lately. My vet said thats probably an allergy to food. Im trying to switch her right now from wellness puppy to welness duck and sweet potato and white fish and sweet potato. I would like to alternate every few days for breakfast. And I dont think that shes allergic to the Candae cuz she was itching before we started feeding that. Thanks for all your advice. |
