What do you do with your puppies while your at work?

I'm very interested to find out what carriers you guys have that you can take your babies. I work at a doc's office so I can only take them if the docs are both out. My shih-poo gets a little car sick and I work 30 mins from home. He doesn't throw up until I pull in the parking lot, but it's happened twice. I always thought he was so good in the car, now I know he's just too terrified to move. My yorkie LOVES to go bye-bye. They stay out in the house while I'm at work. I'm a total sucker. I leave the TV on for them. I'm convinced they sit on the back of the couch and police the neighborhood. I'd love to get a doggycam. I've been having trouble with marking so it's probably not the best choice, but I've started it, and feel guilty about changing now. I'll try belly bands.

I brought a large wire crate (36" x 24") for my furbaby. I have one side with his bed & toys the other side has a water dish and a pee pad. I am away from 8:00 to 5:00. I come home one hour for lunch take him for a potty break, walk & feed him . He seems to do okay, I either leave the tv or radio on. I would like a doggie cam to record and see what he does all day. I really think he enjoys his time alone. On the weekends he seems so tire by the end of day when the family is at home.

Gracie stays in her ex pen with her toys, food, water, pee pad and crate. I think she sleeps all day because when I get home, everything is as I left it. Once in a while I will see a toy out. She used to shred her pee pads but she has pretty much grown out of that. I try to take her to the office with me once a week, and if I am on the road all day and have appointments where it is safe, I take her with me. Like tomorrow, I have to drive about 45 miles to pick up some records for a file. Gracie will go with me. She likes visiting with my clients and they enjoy her as well. I plan to start sending her to doggy day care once a week once she is past the puppy stage and will be better tolerated by the older small breed dogs there. At home she is really not alone as she has 4 cats to visit with and bark at!

I can relate. Izzy is left alone all day from 8:30 to 6. I leave him in my bedroom with his toys, food water and crate. I believe he sleeps all day too. Just like you, I have to work to make money. I hate to leave him, but he is fine when I come home. I play with him and let him cuddle up on my lap when I'm watching tv.

If my boyfriends at home, he chills w/ my boyfriend. If he's at work and I gotta work, then Rocky goes in his crate because he still has an occasional accident. Usually our friends will come and play with him if were going to be gone for a while.
