| Yorkie as headache remedy Yesterday I developed a migraine. I took my usual remedy (4 motrin and a dramamine) and went to bed. Jazz jumped up on the bed with me, but instead of laying beside me or on my legs or chest as he usually does, he laid down on top of my head. It was quite soothing- his little body blocked the light, and his little paw rested on my cheek. After I slept for a couple of hours, I woke up and the headache was gone. Do you think he knew my head was hurting?

| It seems like they do know. My husband hurt his foot and both of my dogs kept licking that foot only. When I am sick they always sleep with me

| That is really sweet. I do think animals have an awareness (?) that humans do not .... they always seem to know. |

| Dogs do "know" a lot of things! A few months before we had to put our toy poodle down (he was 14 yrs old at the time), we spent the day with my mom at my grandma's house. Her lab mix was always real skittish around my poodle for some strange reason (he was a big sissy around anyone actually - very spoiled) but that day, he would not leave Dax (my poodle) alone. Everywhere that Dax went, there was Tell (the lab). Tell actually walked with his body over Daxton's. It was weird. And he kept sniffing around Dax too. I got a very eerie feeling watching it because I knew that Dax really didn't have that much longer with us but there was nothing specific for us to do except for his daily heart medication. I think Tell knew and could sense that Dax was very ill. Dax was put down a few months later. Didn't mean to be the bummer of the thread but nothing suprises me when people say their dog can "sense" things. I'm glad Jazz was able to make you feel better!

| Loki knows. He stays right next to me and stays quiet. I swear he even asks to go out less often when I'm sick. Aren't they amazing?

| I was having a really bad day the other day and was in tears. When I came home from work all I felt like doing was napping on the couch for a while. I brought Tia up on the couch with me and she licked my face and then napped with me too! She never does that, she'd such a hyper little bugger! But that day it was like she knew mummy needed a little quiet time Bless her little heart! |

| Migraine Monitors I sincerely believe that Yorkies can tell, even sense, that my migraines are about to hit. My pups will gather around me, sit on the pillow by my head, usually one of them has their paw on my forehead. They stay in the dark room with me, no matter how long it lasts. Now, if they begin to act like this, I take my Imitrex to prevent the headache. They are little miracles. |
